Fortnite leaks suggest that Anakin Skywalker will be returning to the game before the end of Galactic Battle, and if so, it seems that he will be a hostile boss NPC with a medallion and special loot. Epic Games added several Star Wars elements to Fortnite's Battle Royale game mode for this month's themed season. When Galactic Battle came out on May 2, the massive update patch featured tons of new content for gamers to explore. However, during its first two weeks, there were no additional updates, so gamers who got through the content too quickly were left with nothing else to do. Thankfully, an update is coming on May 15, and many players are psyched to know that it'll finally give them quests to complete and cosmetics to unlock. One of the most anticipated releases of the season, coming with this update, is the General Grievous skin. Even though he has been in Fortnite as an NPC since day one, players were patiently waiting to be able to obtain Grievous through the Galactic Battle Pass.

Rumors indicate that an upcoming update will soon add Anakin to the game as an NPC, and he might be a hostile boss that players can fight. According to Loolo_WLRD, gamers will soon be able to encounter a new boss. If this coincides with reports that an Anakin medallion might also be in the works, it's likely that players will have to battle him to acquire it, just like other bosses in Fortnite.

Additionally, the leaks suggest that this boss, be it Anakin or not, will be able to spawn Stormtroopers. This fact only supports this theory, as Samurai Darth Vader and previous Darth Vader bosses in Fortnite have always been accompanied by Stormtroopers. On the other hand, there's a possibility that it could be the previously teased Darth Jar Jar Binks character.
It is currently unknown when the "Anakin update" is expected to be released in Fortnite and if it'll turn out to be more than a rumor. However, since Galactic Battle comes to an end on June 7, it will have to happen soon. Otherwise, it'll be available in-game for a very short time. To learn more about this matter, gamers should keep an eye out for the leaks for the update on May 15, as it is the mid-season update for Galactic Battle and possibly the last. In the case of Anakin becoming available anytime soon, it'll most likely be leaked during downtime for the upcoming patch.
