Fans of big monsters already have a lot to look forward to, as Godzilla will become available in the game on January 17. Fortnite has recently concluded its annual Winterfest event and released its first major update for 2025. In addition to introducing new cosmetics, Epic Games has made a number of changes to the title. For instance, players now have the ability to use instruments from Fortnite Festival as back blings and pickaxes. Meanwhile, some instruments that were exclusively tied to battle royale can now be used within the music-driven mode. In a recent post on Twitter, the popular leaker HYPEX claimed Epic Games could be coordinating a collaboration between the popular anime Kaiju No. 8 and Fortnite. The story of Kaiju No. 8 follows a young man by the name of Kafka Hibino. After unusual circumstances that see him ingest a parasitic creature, he gains the ability to turn into a kaiju. His life is further complicated by the fact that he is destined to become part of an organization whose sole purpose is to find and eliminate the monsters. Kaiju No. 8 began as a manga and received an anime adaptation in 2024, with a second season planned for 2025. If the leaks prove to be true, Kaiju No. 8 will join anime like Dragon Ball Z in Fortnite.

Fortnite Leaker Claims a Crossover With Kaiju No. 8 Is Happening

In addition to Kaiju No. 8, multiple leakers have claimed that Demon Slayer could be coming to Fortnite. While both anime crossovers are rumored to be coming soon, there's no word on what players might be able to expect. Many fans feel it's likely gamers could see a variety of cosmetics come to the Item Shop, but some are hoping to see characters from both franchises represented on the map.

Leakers also recently revealed that more MonsterVerse characters could be on the way to accompany Godzilla. If true, players will soon be able to acquire cosmetics for King Kong and Mechagodzilla in Fortnite. With so much new content on the horizon, many players are excited to see what Epic Games has planned for the rest of 2025.
