Fortnite has just confirmed a handful of new gameplay features coming to its ongoing Simpsons mini-season, along with a few new skins inspired by the beloved animated franchise. The Fortnite x Simpsons crossover has been a resounding success for Epic Games, with its launch weekend bringing in the "biggest number of new and returning Fortnite players since last holiday season" according to Epic itself.

Set to end on November 29, this Fortnite x Simpsons mini-season has already delivered an entire new map packed with Simpsons-themed POIs, a Battle Pass featuring skins based on Homer, Marge, and Ned, and a few unique items and weapons inspired by specific episodes of the hit 36-year-old show. While the season is a short one, fans can still expect a few more Simpsons surprises up Fortnite's sleeve in the coming weeks.

Fortnite Officially Reveals Donut Rain and New Simpsons Skins

On November 10, the official Fortnite X account posted a 3-minute video. This teaser begins with Homer and Professor Frink (animated in the usual Simpsons style) discussing the Zero Point remote Homer crudely created during Fortnite's "Welcome, Our Alien Overlords" event that kicked off the mini-season. Homer quickly turns his attention to a circular cloud above and uses the remote to turn it into a giant donut that falls from the sky. Homer then turns the remote on Frink, turning him into a Peely-ified version of himself.

The teaser then cuts to in-engine footage showing off the new gameplay features awaiting players in Fortnite's November 11 update. The Frink-Peely skin is shown blasting away at foes while giant donuts rain down atop buildings and player-made structures, destroying them in an instant. The return of the Chainsaw is then teased, and Moe is shown wielding a Tactical Shotgun, presumably teasing the character's rumored appearance in Fortnite's Item Shop. For a very brief moment, Plopper from The Simpsons Movie – better known to some as Spider Pig – also appears, potentially teasing Fortnite's first crossover Sidekick.

The teaser trailer then cuts back to animation, showing Homer throwing the Zero Point shard into the Power Plant's nuclear reactor before falling into it himself, resulting in the creation of an army of Homer clones who are now marching towards Springfield. It was previously leaked that a Mythic weapon based on Moe's five-gun contraption from The Simpsons Season 9's 'The Cartridge Family' and a makeup shotgun inspired by the Season 10 episode 'The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace' would appear in Fortnite's November 11 update, though those weapons weren't revealed in this teaser.
