There is no doubt that there are a lot of factors that made the early Fortnite Chapter 1 seasons special. Fans have been asking Epic Games to bring back the OG map for years now because the community has a lot of love for it. Even though a revamped version of the OG map was available during Season OG back in November 2023, it was not the same.

One of the factors that set Season OG from Chapter 1 was the lack of mechanics and features that were unique to Fortnite during that time. Thankfully, that is no longer the case in Fortnite OG - the permanent game mode added during Chapter 6 Season 1 - and gamers will even complete hidden quests if they seek out some of these quirky features.

All Hidden Quests in Fortnite OG

There are four hidden quests in Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 1. Each quest is worth 10,000 XP, so gamers can earn up to 40,000 XP by completing them.

Hit an Opponent With Two Different Shotguns in 1 Second or Less

Double Pump is the most notorious mechanic from Chapter 1. Back then, players would often carry two Pump Shotguns, as there was no delay when switching between the two, allowing them to quickly deal massive damage to opponents.

To celebrate its return, gamers will have to pick up two shotguns in Fortnite OG, hit an opponent, swiftly switch to the second shotgun, and hit them again.

Ride a Rocket From a Rocket Launcher

How to Ride a Rocket in Fortnite

Streamers popularized the rocket-riding mechanic back in Chapter 1, and it originated some awesome clips.

To complete this quest, players need two things: a Rocket Launcher and a friend. To ride a rocket, gamers must stand in front of the Rocket Launcher, have their friend shoot it, and then they must jump right before it hits them. This will allow them to get on top of the rocket and ride it until its destination.

Since there is no friendly fire in Fortnite OG, the player will be safe from taking damage. However, if the shooter is too close to the player as they fire the rocket, they might take damage if the experiment goes wrong and it blows up closer than expected.

Unfortunately, OG mode does not have Guided Missiles at the time, so it's not possible to rocket ride in Fortnite without a second player.

Emote Within 5 Seconds of Eliminating an Opponent

Even though it is considered toxic in the Fortnite community, gamers will have to emote after taking down a player if they want to complete this hidden quest. However, they must do it within 5 seconds of the elimination, otherwise, it won't count toward quest progress.

Ring a Doorbell Until It Breaks

How to Ring a Doorbell in Fortnite

In Chapter 1, if players rang a doorbell too many times, it would break, and this hasn't changed in Fortnite OG. To easily find a doorbell in Fortnite OG, players will first have to visit one of the main suburban areas, such as Pleasant Park or Salty Springs. Then, they must head towards the front door or one of the houses. Here, they'll find a doorbell, which they must press quickly until it breaks.
