Epic Games is gradually bringing back items from previous Fortnite seasons, as well as a new, cool storyline. In Chapter 4, the developers added the Proximity Grenade Launcher, Infantry Rifle, Junk Rift, Storm Flip, Air Strike, and more. This article will focus on Air Strikes, which were first introduced in Season 9. Here, players will find a detailed guide on how to get and use Air Strike in Fortnite OG.
Fortnite OG: How To Get Air Strike
Finding an Air Strike will not be easy, but in the right hands, it will definitely help players win. There are three ways to get this item in Fortnite OG:
- Supply Drops
- In Chests
- As Floor Loot
The easiest way to find Air Strikes is in chests, as they are everywhere, and fans can loot a significant number of them. Players will pick up two Air Strikes at a time, and fans can have a maximum stack of up to four.
Fortnite OG: How To Use Air Strike
An Air Strike is a legendary item that players can throw just like a regular grenade. When the Air Strike touches the ground, a red circle appears around it, where 20 missiles will fall from the sky in 2-3 seconds. The total attack time of an Air Strike is eight seconds. Here is how much damage Air Strike deals:
- Player Damage - 50 per missile
- Structure Damage - 400
- DPS - 125
Due to the high structural damage, an Air Strike will be very useful to destroy enemy buildings. If gamers throw an Air Strike on the top of the structure, they will destroy the building, so the enemy player will get some damage and lose their defense structure.
In Zero Build, using Air Strike makes much less sense. In this mode, players should use it in the following cases:
- When two or more enemies are fighting each other. Just throw an Air Strike at them, and there is a chance that they will not have enough time to react and thus get damaged.
- When players are running away from opponents, they can use an Air Strike to disorientate or block the enemy's way.
- Players can throw an Air Strike to prevent the enemy from escaping.
- It is also possible to throw an Air Strike in front of enemy vehicles. This will be quite effective in limited terrain.
