A popular Fortnite leaker has revealed that Epic Games is considering bringing back previous collaborations, which could include its first crossover season with Marvel. Fortnite is currently in the middle of Chapter 6 Season 3, which features a major crossover with the DC film Superman.
Epic Games recently launched a whole new game mode called Blitz Royale in Fortnite, which immediately became one of the title's most popular modes. While Blitz Royale was only supposed to last for a month, it gained such a following that Epic Games extended it by four weeks. In addition to keeping the mode around a little longer, the developers revealed that upcoming weeks would feature fresh crossovers and new locations. Blitz Royale was originally designed for mobile, offering players a shorter experience that can be completed in just five minutes. However, the mode is currently available on all platforms and features full cross-play support.
Fortnite: How to Get Superman
Superman features in Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 3 Battle Pass, and here's a closer look at all of his epic cosmetics from the free and paid pass.
In a recent post on Twitter, the prominent leaker ShiinaBR revealed that Epic Games is considering bringing back old Fortnite collaborations at some point in the future. They stated that this could include full seasons, locations, mythic items, and more. According to ShiinaBR, it's possible that Fortnite OG could bring back Marvel's Nexus War collaboration at some point in 2026 or 2027. If this return followed the trend of previous Fortnite OG seasons, players could see remixed versions of old crossover skins that were featured in previous battle passes. So far, gamers haven't seen any collaborations come to Fortnite OG.
Marvel’s Nexus War Could Be Coming Back to Fortnite
Some players have been concerned about the future of the classic game mode, as Epic Games recently removed the ranked versions of Fortnite OG earlier in 2025. When announcing the change, Epic Games stated that the decision was made due to matchmaking health, which could mean Fortnite OG's ranked modes weren't pulling in enough players on a consistent basis.
In addition to shutting down variants of its OG mode, Fortnite recently removed Team Rumble from the game, which came as a surprise to some fans. Team Rumble was a staple in the game for many years, but it seems as if its player count dwindled over time. Many players said that they used the mode to complete quests that were otherwise difficult to finish in the game's traditional battle royale mode. Despite a few hiccups here and there, it seems as if Epic Games is making an effort to discover exactly which experiences players value most, which has a lot of fans feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
