The Peaceful Hips emote has returned to Fortnite after publisher Epic Games removed the cosmetic item last month due to inquiries with Warner Bros. About its "creative intentions" behind the choreography. Epic Games has now updated the Fortnite emote, which was part of a collaboration with DC's Peacemaker series, with a slight adjustment to remove a potentially controversial move that seemingly resembled a swastika.

With Season 2 of Peacemaker now in full swing, Epic Games teamed up with Warner Bros. Once again, this time to bring Fortnite players a new Peacemaker bundle. The cosmetics were released in-game late last month and featured a Peacemaker outfit, back bling, emote, pickaxe, and more. Unfortunately, it was initially believed that the Peaceful Hips emote may have included a reference to the swastika symbol due to the ongoing storyline in the show's second season. While subtle, Epic acted fast and removed the emote from the game, noting that it was inquiring with its partners to clarify the creative decision behind the dance move.

Fortnite's Peaceful Hips Emote Returns

Following its removal last month, Epic Games later provided fans with an update on the emote's return to Fortnite. In a statement on Twitter, Epic said it had worked with its partner and clarified that there was no intention to connect the Peaceful Hips emote with Peacemaker Season 2's storyline. However, the studio said it would be adjusting the emote to "avoid any confusion." Now, one week on, the emote has officially been updated with a slight adjustment to its choreography, which can be seen in the video below, courtesy of Fortnite leaker and data miner HYPEX.

As the emote has been altered from its original design, Epic says anybody can return the emote without using a ticket. For those who have yet to purchase the cosmetic, it doesn't appear to be available in the Fortnite Item Store as of writing. It's possible that it may return in the coming days or weeks, but this has yet to be confirmed by Epic Games. The good news, however, is that there are plenty of other new Fortnite cosmetics for Fortnitemares 2025, including collaborations with Scooby-Doo, Jason, and many more.

According to Epic's announcement, players simply need to earn 15 account levels before November 1 to unlock all of the free rewards.
