Since its release in 2017, Fortnite has allowed players to purchase exciting cosmetics from the in-game Item Shop. Now, after 7 years, players can finally purchase the in-game items they want without accessing the game. This is perfect for the Fortnite fans out there who currently cannot access the game, but don't want to miss out on quickly released cosmetics like emotes and new collabs.
Fortnite: 18 Rarest Skin in 2024
Fortnite celebrates its 7th anniversary in 2024, but within that time, there are still some skins that haven't returned in over half that time.
Fortnite always provides players with new skins and emotes, so it's no surprise that those who don't exactly want to log in at specific times to check are looking for alternate methods. It's great that players can now use their web browsers and mobile devices to purchase in-game items in Fortnite.
How to Access Fortnite Item Shop on Web Browsers and Phones
All players need to do to purchase Fortnite items online is go on any search engine, like Google and Bing, and type in Fortnite Web Shop. The first result should link to the official Fortnite website: Fortnite Shop - Current Items.
Now that players have loaded into the official Fortnite website, they will see a Sign In icon on the top left of their web page. Players will need to select this to sign into their Epic Games account, which should be directly linked to each specific player's gaming account, whether that's Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Google, or Apple. Once signed in, players can return to the Fortnite Shop online where they will be able to see their V-Buck wallet balance on the top left, and the Support A Creator code on the top right.
Once the shop has been accessed, players can scroll through and check out what's available. This includes every tab that can be accessed in-game, including Special Offers & Bundles. Selecting each item will show how many V-Bucks the item costs, as well as when it will rotate out of the shop. Selecting each item also provides players with a fully rendered 3D model, so they can rotate the skins they are thinking about purchasing, or watch the emotes on repeat.
After seeing an item that players want to purchase, they can select the Purchase button. Those who are indecisive or worried about a missclick, have no reason to fear, as selecting Purchase brings them to a Confirm Purchase screen, which double-checks that players want to hit Purchase or Cancel. Once purchased, the item will be directly transferred to their Fortnite account, so the next time they access the game, their chosen item will be waiting for them.
