Sometimes, it's hard to realize that something will simply never return, despite its prominence in the Item Shop. Arcane Jinx and Arcane Vi are some of these skins, and they've been out of action for over 3 years. Sadly, those years will continue to grow, as these characters will not be returning to Fortnite anytime soon. Despite the popularity of League of Legends and Netflix's Arcane series, these skins are best left forgotten, as the Co-founder of Riot Games, Marc Merrill, posted a disappointing update on X, stating, "we haven’t been able to find the right fit to bring the Arcane skins back". These skins are likely to never return unless a generous deal between Riot and Epic can be reached.

11 Kelsier

The Failed Epic Games Movie Character

One of the strangest collabs to come out of Fortnite was that of Kelsier, a character from the Mistborn novels. For years, most fans were confused as to why this seemingly random collab occurred over 4 years ago, but an AMA on Reddit with the series author, Brandon Sanderson, revealed that it was done so at the request of Donald Mustard, the CCO of Epic Games and Co-Creator of Fortnite at the time. Why some might assume this collab never came back due to rights issues, it seems that there's more to this story. What makes Kelsier so rare is the rumor that it was supposed to lead into a Mistborn movie produced by Epic Games, but after cancellation, it seems that this skin will never return.

10 Kratos

One of the best collabs to come out of Fortnite was when God of War came onto the Battle Royale scene, and players could take Kratos's countless battles against gods and turn them against other players. Despite the love and popularity of this character, it seems that Sony and PlayStation are not playing ball, and so the skin has not returned in over 4 years. There's been no word on Kratos returning, and even with updates to his Shop API and assets, it seems that this will remain a rare skin until Sony and Epic Games can reach some agreement on his return.

9 Rue

An Assumed Blacklisted Outfit Due to Her Outfit's History

Rue is a very odd addition to Fortnite, simply because of the seeming silence surrounding her skin and its controversy. While some players might think Rue is just a cute skin, the black edit style does in fact make her resemble that of an SS officer in Hitler's Nazi Germany. As such, it seems that Epic quietly pulled Rue from the Item Shop, and she hasn't returned in over 5 years. It seems Rue's reputation is best forgotten by Epic, as Twitch Streamer Elded stated that Rue was one of the cosmetics blacklisted for selection with a Creator Locker Bundle.

A Famed Artist Consistent with Exclusivity is Unlikely to Return

Travis Scott is one of the most celebrated artists, which is why his debut in Fortnite was so welcomed, along with his in-game concert. Yet, with such worldwide popularity, Travis Scott hasn't returned in over 5 years, with some assuming it fits the artist's consistency when it comes to exclusivity. While some players speculate that Travis Scott hasn't returned to Fortnite due to the Astroworld Festival crowd rush incident in 2021, in which 10+ people died and many others were injured, Tim Sweeney tweeted years after the incident that "Travis Scott is welcome in Fortnite.", so it's more than likely that Travis Scott prefers the exclusivity of his set.

7 Lt. Evergreen

Winterfest 2019's Exclusive Skin

Winterfest 2019 started a trend of giving players free skins, which is why Lt. Evergreen isn't exactly the rarest for veterans, as everyone who managed to click the Winterfest Cabin and interact with the Christmas tree would have this skin in their locker. However, players who were not around during Winterfest 2019 will not have this skin, and they will never have this skin, since Winterfest always brings new outfits to claim for free that are not this OG suit.

6 Shaman

Fortnite's Oldest Item Shop Skin Hasn't Returned for No Reason At All

Shaman is the only non-Bundle and non-event Skin featured in the Item Shop that has not returned in over 6 years. While there are some skins that have been absent a little longer than Shaman, this outfit is the only skin that isn't part of any packaged deal, and simply hasn't returned for unknown reasons. There's been no rumors or confirmation as to why Shaman hasn't returned, and players can only speculate that Epic Games just isn't interested in this skin anymore since it's from Chapter 1.

Honor Guard is an exclusive skin that debuted back in 2019, exclusive for players who were playing and owned an HONOR View20. For the majority of players, they might not even know what an HONOR View20 is, since it's outside of the usual realm of mobile devices seen with most Apple products and Android devices. Due to its dwindling popularity and asking price of $650, most players missed out on the Honor Guard skin code that came with it, thus leaving this blue bike rider as a rare addition that most players may have never seen until now.

Starter Packs are supposed to give players what they need to start their journey in Fortnite by providing them with a new skin and a small amount of 600 V-Bucks so that they can make additional purchases. Starter Packs are usually affordable for most players, and the very first Starter Pack was that of the Rogue Agent, a skin who debuted in Season 3, and has not returned since then, thus making Rogue Agent the earliest skin who needs actual money instead of V-Bucks to purchase, and a skin who's been absent for 7 years.

The Galaxy skin was easily one of the rarest skins in Season 5, and continues to grow in rarity with each day. The purpose of the Galaxy skin was to promote Samsung's newest mobile devices at the time, where if players purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and played Fortnite on said device, they would be given the Galaxy skin. For most players, swarming mobile stores wasn't the most viable option, and neither was spending almost $1,000 back in 2018 just for a skin. Regardless, the Galaxy skin remains an ultra-rare addition to the lockers of only a few players.
