Besides the rarities mentioned above, players can now find Morphite weapons in Fortnite, which work in a completely different way. This guide will tell players how they can get Morphite weapons and how to use them.

How to Find Morphite Weapons in Fortnite

Morphite weapons are exclusive to the Reload game mode, so players will not be able to find them in OG, Blitz, or Battle Royale. Morphite weapons can are initially Uncommon weapons most of the time, so they are quite easy to obtain. Only the weapons down below can be found as Morphite weapons:

  • Heavy Assault Rifle
  • Assault Rifle
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Pump Shotgun
  • Submachine Gun
  • Tactical Pistol

How Morphite Weapons Work in Fortnite

In Fortnite, Morphite weapons get progressively better as players deal damage to enemy players. As the hitmarkers appear, the meter located below the weapon's name will rise. Once it's full, players can select the Evolve Weapon! Option that'll appear on their screen to increase the weapon's rarity.

Since players lose their weapons when they are eliminated in Reload, this type of weapon incentivizes players to stay alive in Reload for as long as possible. It discourages them from immediately rebooting after being knocked and recklessly throwing themselves in harm's way.
