Gear up and roll out in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3's high-octane action, featuring all-new moddable vehicles, new additions to the lootpool, and brand-new apocalypse-themed POIs. While players may look forward to zipping around the map with the Nitro Fists, along with getting their hands on unvaulted weapons like the Combat Shotgun, players can also take on new bosses.
Fortnite: How to Get Nuka-Cola
Fortnite x Fallout sees an iconic staple of the Wasteland come into the Battle Royale map, as Nuka-Cola provides a refreshing healing beverage.
Three new NPC bosses have emerged onto the Fortnite Island, each sporting their own unique Mythic weapon along with a powerful Medallion. While Assault Rifle enthusiasts may want to take on The Machinist and acquire her Mythic Combat Assault Rifle, Ringmaster Scarr offers a Mythic variant of the brand-new Boom Bolt, along with a powerful Medallion. Here is how to beat Ringmaster Scarr and get the Ringmaster’s Boom Bolt in Fortnite.
How To Beat Ringmaster Scarr
The video above showcases Ringmaster Scarr's location at the Nitrodrome, along with successfully eliminating her to claim her loot and her vehicle, and then escape safely.
Ringmaster Scarr is an NPC boss located at the Nitrodrome, one of four additional POIs debuting in Fortnite Wrecked. Players can track Ringmaster Scarr via opening the map and looking for her icon, if they are unsure of her whereabouts, though she will not spawn into the map straight away. Instead, players must survive within the Nitrodrome for a brief period for her to spawn. Heading towards the central arena of the Nitrodrome will trigger a progress bar to appear, and once its progress has been depleted, Ringmaster Scarr will appear on the stage overlooking the arena.
Taking out Ringmaster Scarr is relatively straightforward, but players must use cover and avoid standing in one spot for too long. This is because Ringmaster Scarr wields her trusty Boom Bolt, an explosive crossbow that deals serious splash damage. Hitting consistent headshots can quickly reduce her large pool of health. Players can also make use of the new vehicle mods such as the Grenade Launcher Turret to make short work of this boss, and take one step closer to the Victory Royale.
Fortnite: How to Get The Junker 'Brella
Just a singular dub is required to get the new Fortnite umbrella to prove mastery over 99 other players in Chapter 5 Season 3's latest Battle Royale.
Once eliminated, Ringmaster Scarr will drop various items, including the Ringmaster Scarr's Medallion and the Mythic Ringmaster’s Boom Bolt, and a Flowberry Fizz in case their shields got a little too low in the hectic fight, but equally as important, is access to her Lockjaw vehicl e.
Ringmaster Scarr's Medallion (& What It Does)
Ringmaster Scarr's Medallion bestows players with an infinite ammo reserve, along with boosting all ranged weapon damage. This can come in handy for players who often find themselves short on ammunition, but also allows players to drop all their stored ammunition for teammates who may need it more. This Medallion does still require players to reload their weapons, it's only the ammo that's infinite, not the magazine.
Ringmaster's Lockjaw
That's not all; players who manage to grab Ringmaster Scarr's Medallion can also use it to gain access to Lockjaw, Ringmaster Scarr's pre-modded vehicle. To access Ringmaster Scarr's Lockjaw, players can simply head to the location that is marked on screen while carrying the Medallion. Once at Lockjaw's location, players must stand in front of a scanner to gain access to it. Here is the list of weapon mods on Ringmaster Scarr's Lockjaw:
- Spiked Bumper: Deals increased damage to players and objects on impact.
- Machine Gun Bot: Passenger-controlled machine gun primarily used for ranged combat.
- Bullet-Proof Tires: Indestructible tires that ensure the vehicular mayhem never ends.
Following the trend of previous seasons, players holding this Medallion will have their location marked on the map, and this marker will become more precise with each additional Medallion a player carries.
Mythic Ringmaster’s Boom Bolt Stats
A crossbow fine tuned by the Ringmaster to be faster while aiming and hold more "booms" in the magazine.
Along with her nifty Medallion, Ringmaster Scarr will also drop her Mythic Boom Bolt once eliminated. This ranged weapon is essentially an explosive crossbow, one which can be used pretty effectively from afar and can even deal damage to players within vehicles. Much like all other Mythic weapons, Ringmaster’s Boom Bolt comes with preset modifications and cannot be modded via a Weapon Mod Bench.
