Summary

  • Fortnite fans were upset by repeated skins in the Item Shop, especially the return of Ruckus and Mayhem.
  • The game's larger shop rotations mean that many cosmetics return more frequently than before.
  • Many players want to see rare skins return to the Item Shop.

Fortnite fans are unhappy with the return of Mayhem and Ruckus in the game's Item Shop, as they were recently featured just seven days earlier. Fortnite is currently in the opening weeks of Chapter 6 Season 2, which is all about heists. Because of this, a number of crime-themed skins have been rotated into the shop.

It's not uncommon for gamers to express displeasure with Fortnite's Item Shop. As the game has matured, its shop has grown larger, giving players more options to choose from on a daily basis. However, this means that some skins stick around for longer periods of time, potentially overstaying their welcome. Cosmetics related to the Fortnite Festival seasons sometimes linger for months at a time. Additionally, larger shops mean that cosmetics tend to return more frequently, leading to a lot of repetition.

Some Fortnite players using xCloud may face longer queue times and shorter sessions based on some recently leaked information.

In a recent post on Reddit, noob_crafty expressed their frustration with the latest Item Shop rotation, as it included the skins Ruckus and Mayhem under the Royale Originals section. They pointed out that both skins had been featured in the Item Shop one week earlier, which isn't very long at all when there are thousands of cosmetics for Epic Games to choose from. Some players also said they were unhappy with the number of Icon skins in Fortnite that constantly return to the Item Shop, claiming that they would rather see skins that get less attention featured instead.

Fortnite Players Are Unhappy With the Return of Ruckus and Mayhem

During Season 1 of Fortnite OG, a lot of players were ecstatic about the return of Renegade Raider to Fortnite's Item Shop after being away for several years. Many gamers have expressed the desire to see more events like that one, where newer players get the opportunity to acquire older, rarer skins. However, this isn't a sentiment shared by all members of the community, as some players want their skins to remain rare, even if they were acquired through the Item Shop instead of a battle pass.

Gamers have also been critical of some new skins coming to the title, such as Fortnite's recent Best in Show bundle, which featured four skins based on different breeds of dogs. Some fans have claimed that Epic Games is increasing the price of skins by selling back blings and other accessories separately. A few players suggested that this may be a tactic to make the bundles seem more appealing, giving them the appearance of being a better deal than they actually are. Despite some hiccups with the most recent Item Shop rotations, many fans are optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
