Fortnite could be crossing over with Silent Hill before long, according to a new rumor. Frequent collaborations with other franchises are a key part of the battle royale's lasting appeal, so rumors are constantly swirling about what's next, regardless of how unexpected some of them may seem. The latest of these rumblings suggests Fortnite fans have some Silent Hill content to look forward to.
The shooter's latest season has been jam-packed with collaborations. After a leak suggested Fortnite was getting a Deep Rock Galactic skin, Epic Games made it official, and before that, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Squid Game, One Punch Man, and even the band Gorillaz all got Fortnite collabs over the past month. Chapter 6 Season 4 isn't over yet, and some users claim to know what the next big crossover is.
Fortnite Leaks King of the Hill Crossover
A prominent Fortnite leaker surprises fans by announcing that the popular battle royale will soon feature a crossover with King of the Hill.
Fortnite Leaker Says Silent Hill Crossover Is Coming Soon
Fortnite leaker Wensoing broke the news on Twitter, claiming Silent Hill is coming to the game "soon." While Wensoing didn't say specifically where the information came from, they did note the inside sources responsible had accurately leaked other details across Seasons 3 and 4. With Silent Hill f coming out on September 25, the timeline does make sense. There's already a lot of press riding behind the latest entry in the long-running horror franchise, and bringing it over to a game as big as Fortnite would be an easy way to push marketing efforts further and reach a wider audience.
The idea of a Silent Hill and Fortnite collab may seem odd at first. After all, the latter is popular among younger gamers, and Silent Hill f' s content is disturbing enough to warrant a mental health warning, but Fortnite has debuted skins from mature horror franchises before. Epic Games has collaborated with all manner of games, shows, and movies in the past, so looking at the game's history, nothing is off the table. While there may be no official confirmation of a Silent Hill crossover, there's no strong reason to write the possibility off at the time.
Silent Hill isn't the only horror property rumored to make an appearance in the battle royale soon. Wensoing has also claimed Friday the 13th's Jason Vorhees could be coming to Fortnite for Halloween, which the game has often celebrated with special events in the past. If either is true, the coming months could be big for fans of both horror and Fortnite. Nothing is confirmed for now, but with both leaks, gamers won't need to wait long to learn if they're accurate.
