Striker AR
A Fast-Firing and Recoil-Heavy Assault Rifle for Suppressing Fire
- Fully Automatic Assault Rifle: High rate of fire. Most effective when fired in short controlled bursts.
The Striker AR is an assault rifle featured on Springfield Island, and it's not the best, but it's also not the worst. This weapon is always worth picking up if you lack an assault rifle, as it will get the job done; you just need to be mindful of its heavy recoil when you hold the trigger. To mitigate the recoil and actually hit targets that are further than directly in front of you, try more controlled bursts, as that will see the Striker AR and its damage benefit from a patient trigger finger. However, at close ranges, the Striker AR can come in clutch due to its fast fire rate and decent damage output.
Ranger Shotgun
A Single-Shot Shotgun For the Most Accurate of Players
- Shotgun: Single shot, Break-Action shotgun that deals high damage and is effective at longer ranges compared to typical shotguns.
The Ranger Shotgun returns, and it's just as good as it was the day it left the loot pool rotation. The Ranger Shotgun excels as a single-shot rifle that is capable of some absurdly high damage at close range. Players can use the Ranger Shotgun to almost one-shot enemies if they are accurate enough to hit them in the head, and then switch out to an SMG to finish them off without needing a reload of the shotgun. The Ranger Shotgun does have a higher skill cap, as one singular bullet means that you need to be accurate, and it's best used from cover so that you can peek out, take a shot, and either keep to cover or push forward on the offensive. This shotgun won't be to everyone's playstyle, but its fast capabilities of dealing immense damage make it something enemies should fear.
Thunder Shotgun
A Decent-Kicking Shotgun to Fire Two Rounds at Once
- Shotgun: Pump-Action. Deals high damage, and shoots two rounds at a time. Limited magazine size.
The Thunder Shotgun has a pretty slow fire rate, but the fact that it fires two rounds at a time means that its damage is capped pretty high. With a fast reload, thanks to the fact that it also loads two rounds at a time, players will have an effective shotgun that will help them push through the hordes of hostiles on Springfield Island. The Thunder Shotgun is capable of great damage, but due to its slow fire rate and lack of ammunition in the magazine size, it's best used once, then to swap to a faster fire rate weapon, then swapped and used again for an effective death on the enemy's team. It's a reliable shotgun that will get the job done, so long as you're aware of the fire rate.
Tactical Shotgun
The Fastest Firing Shotgun with Great Damage and Magazine Size
- Shotgun: Semi-Automatic. Fast-firing shotgun with a large magazine. Good for dealing with multiple targets at short range.
The best shotgun in the Fortnite Simpsons season has to be the Tactical Shotgun, which is a returning classic from the OG Chapter 1. This shotgun has been in and out of the loot pool since the launch of Fortnite, and it's always great to see it return. It not only has one of the largest magazine sizes, but it also has a great pellet spread to hit multiple targets and close-range bodies, along with a great fire rate, and reliable damage. Players can bully their opponents by continuing to fire the Tactical Shotgun, which will melt through them if they dare to get too close.
Suppressed Assault Rifle
A Super Accurate Assault Rifle for Decent Control of Medium to Long Battles
- Assault Weapon: Fully Automatic. Flexible assault rifle capable of handling all types of combat scenarios. High rate of fire with solid accuracy when aiming down sights and firing in controlled bursts.
The Suppressed Assault Rifle is the best assault rifle currently in Fortnite x Simpsons, and there are a few reasons for that. Firstly, the silencer makes shots a tad quieter, but that's not the real kicker. The real bonus of this weapon comes from the high damage, decent fire rate, lovely 30 bullets per magazine, and the fact that the recoil is easy to maintain. This means that players have an assault rifle that can be easily managed, where the bloom will not halt their accurate shots from hitting the target, especially when fired in controlled bursts.
Compact SMG
A Rapid Fire SMG With Little to No Recoil
- Fires at a very high rate, dealing great damage while consuming a lot of ammo.
The highest DPS weapon in Fortnite's Simpsons season must be the Compact SMG, which offers great damage, and an even greater fire rate. Even the recoil feels easy to manage, but the damage drop-off is pretty severe, meaning this weapon is best used at close range to compete directly with the hardest-hitting shotguns. While shotguns might be vicious up close, the Compact SMG is going to shred through them with ease, especially with consistent headshots, thanks to its amazingly fast fire rate. The Compact SMG is easily the best SMG this season, and the damage scaling is as much as the plethora of bullets featured in the magazine, but do be mindful of how quickly it will eat at your Light Bullets!
Mr. Blasty
A Snubnose Revolver With No Damage Drop-Off to Hit Near and Far

The best gun in the Simpsons Fortnite season is Mr. Blasty, a unique pistol that comes exclusively to this season of Fortnite. Homer's punchy sidearm has incredible high damage, whether that's a body shot or a headshot, and what makes it even better is that the recoil is so manageable, and there's no damage drop-off. This means that players can use it as a very small sniper rifle to hit targets from far away, and the lack of recoil and bloom means that shots will almost always hit, and that's without even mentioning the fast fire rate. Players can spam the Mr. Blasty as a versatile weapon, either as a great swap from shotgun to pistol, or even just as a weapon that's used in place of an assault rifle due to its high damage and range capabilities.
