Fortnite Springfield Nuclear Power Plant Event, Explained
When Does Nuclear Power Plant Event Start in Fortnite?
In Fortnite, there is a chance that the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's reactor could have a deadly meltdown. Homer is supposed to monitor it, but the NPC prefers to wander around the plant instead of doing his job.
To know if there is going to be a meltdown before it begins, players can head to the power plant and check the wall on the leftside of the plant's main entrance. If there is a safety code on the wall, it means players will have to use it during the match, indicate a meltdown will happen.
The nuclear power plant reactor should initiate its meltdown a few seconds before the third Storm Circle begins to close. Once it starts, a reactor symbol will appear on the map to mark the location of the powerplant console.
How to Solve the Nuclear Power Plant Puzzle in Fortnite
Once the reactor initiates its meltdown, players have to head to the powerplant console, which can be found on the lower level of the top left building in the location. They have about 260 seconds to input the correct safety code onto the console and prevent the meltdown.
Safety codes have been placed around the power plant, namely on the wall on the leftside of the plant's main entrance and on the leftside of the building on the top right of the location. Gamers need to memorize the three symbols shown on the safety protocol poster and enter the code onto the console. Here is where each block is located on the console:
