A new leak indicates that a Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration is coming to Fortnite in the near future. While there have been rumors in the past, dataminers have now allegedly found proof of the plans within Fortnite's files.
Fortnite has become something of a central hub for crossovers, and it doesn't stop at games. Anime characters, real-life musicians, actors, and content creators have all been featured in the game, and the Fortnite crossovers show no signs of stopping, with this being one of the most recent indications of something new on the way.
Fortnite Leak Reveals When Demon Slayer Collab Could Happen
A prominent Fortnite leaker tells fans the much-anticipated Demon Slayer crossover could be coming to the game sooner rather than later.
Fortnite Sonic Crossover Leaks
Known Fortnite leaker Wenso has shared evidence of a Sonic the Hedgehog crossover coming to Fortnite. The leak looked at data within Fortnite, and discovered two pairs of Fortnite Kicks that appear to be based off of the legendary Sega franchise. One of the pairs of Kicks is based off of Sonic himself, while the other is based off his rival, Shadow the Hedgehog. The files appeared in Fortnite's latest update, and Wenso notes that there are no shop assets available for the Kicks yet.
Those who were holding out for Sonic and Shadow themselves to be added as usable skins might not be in luck this time around. While it's not out of the question for more to be included in the collab beyond Kicks, this particular collaboration looks to be focused on the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog Puma shoe collection. The Sonic the Hedgehog x Puma collection is slated to release on October 30, which may hint at when the assets will be made available in Fortnite. Although only textures have been shown at this time, it looks like the two pairs of shoes are based on the Sonic and Shadow Pumas that are going up for sale. Notably absent are textures for the Tails Puma shoes that are also part of the real-life collection.
While the update adding these Sonic Kicks is likely to arrive soon, there are also plenty of other collabs that have either been announced or leaked. Kai Cenat will be arriving in Fortnite on September 12, and a recent leak seems to hint at the possibility of fellow streamer IShowSpeed not being all that far behind him. Other recent rumors have indicated that indie co-op REPO could be crossing over with Fortnite, as well as The Binding of Isaac, and legendary survival horror series Silent Hill. In the meantime, the Fortnite Power Rangers crossover is currently underway in-game.
