Fortnite's special The Office-themed skins, emotes, and other content centered around beloved characters Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute have been revealed by some clever fans who have been digging around in the game's files. Featuring the likenesses of actors Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson, these additions to Fortnite are expected to hit the game later in the day on January 23, much to the delight of fans of the hit show.
Launched in early access in July 2017, Fortnite's appeal has attracted more than 650 million players across the world. Built on a foundation of fun, cartoonish visuals, a vibrant social atmosphere, and gameplay that encourages creativity, it took less than a year for the development team at Epic Games to start releasing collaborative content with other established IPs. What started with superhero crossovers in Fortnite and a battle over Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet in the spring of 2018 kicked off a slew of content that would make collaborative events a big part of the game's identity, including early crossovers with Disney, the National Football League, and Star Wars.

Fortnite's The Office Crossover Content Launch Times
- January 23, 2026, at 7 p.m. ET, 4 p.m. PT
Now, Fortnite is getting ready to add a couple of fan-favorite characters from The Office, NBC's workplace mockumentary sitcom, which ran for 201 episodes between 2005 and 2013 and was based on a British sitcom of the same name. The content is expected to hit Fortnite on January 23 at 7 p.m. ET, 4 p.m. PT, but leakers who have unlocked files in the game's code have revealed its content early, confirming that both Michael and Dwight will be joining Fortnite's cast, complete with their own unique skins, emotes, back bling, and more. The skin for likeable The Office boss Michael Scott comes in three variations, including one in his classic suit, a second that adds a pair of sunglasses, and a third that ditches the tie, unbuttons his shirt, and adds a backwards-facing cap for his zany Date Mike persona. Dwight can also wear a full suit or lose the jacket for his short-sleeved button-up appearance, while his third outfit sees him add the unsettling CPR dummy mask from the fifth-season two-part episode Stress Relief.
These characters will also come with special emotes lifted directly from some of the best episodes of The Office. Michael's iconic dance, The Scarn, which first appeared in Season 7 episode "Threat Level Midnight" and served as the apex of his terrible self-made action movie, will now be used to delight Fortnite fans. Additionally, the Dwight's Lil' Lead Car emote will allow players to hop about a red sports car and shout from a bullhorn. Both of these emotes will feature sound bites taken directly from the show.
Along with the emotes, there are a bunch of incoming accessories that players will recognize from The Office. Dwight's CPR dummy makes a second appearance as his specially themed Back Bling item, while Michael will feature an enormous version of his World's Best Boss mug. There will be special pickaxes as well, with Michael's Dundee Award and Dwight's signature broom-stake, which was previously used to fight a stalker and a vampire bat but will now serve a different role in Fortnite. Lastly, a new Fortnite glider will be added in the form of Dwight's coveted Megadesk.
While the new character skins, accessories, and emojis are coming very soon, their arrival won't interrupt the South Park Fortnite collab event that's currently going on in the game. Continuing the storyline first established by Obsidian Entertainment's South Park: The Stick of Truth in 2014, the special event centered around the boys donning mech suits to battle against one another over the all-powerful stick is scheduled to run through February 5.
