While the most conventional way to increase players' health or gain shields in Fortnite is to consume healing items, they can also do it by interacting with certain parts of the environment. Knowing where to find healing environmental features can be quite useful, especially if the player is trying to complete a Wastelander Challenge that prevents them from taking healing items or damages them for picking up items.
Fortnite: How to Get the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle
The Tri-Beam Laser Rifle is an enjoyable Fallout weapon that joins Fortnite Battle Royale's loot pool with great flair.
This guide focuses on the Oasis Pools, which can be found in the Wasteland biome of the Battle Royale map. It'll explain how these pools work and how players can get to them.
How to Heal at an Oasis Pool
Back in Chapter 4, there was a body of water that worked similarly to the Oasis Pool mechanic. Gamers could enter the Hot Springs at the Steamy Springs POI to gain health and shields. In Chapter 5 Season 3, they work exactly the same way, but they have a different name since they can only be found in the Wasteland biome.
To heal at an Oasis Pool, gamers have to hop in the water and wait for their health and/or shields to reach 100. Health and Shields won't regenerate simultaneously. The Oasis Pool will heal the player by one HP per tick, and once that meter is full, it'll start filling their shields meter at the same speed.
If you are doing the Week 2 challenge, which requires players to regenerate health or shields in an Oasis Pool, you can do it faster by consuming healing items in the water - it'll count towards quest progress even if it's not the Oasis doing the work.
Oasis Pool Locations
There are five Oasis Pools in Fortnite, and they're all located in the Wasteland Biome. Here is where players will be able to find the Oasis Pools:
- The Dam Bridge landmark
- Between Pea Bois HQ and Megalo Depot
- Between Redline Rig and Lil Dirty Rock
- Northwest of Brawler's Battleground
