One of the most exhilarating aspects of Playground Games' Forza Horizon 4 is flying 250 mph across England's vast, lush landscapes. Building on the solid foundations of the first three open-world racing romps, this sequel revs up the scope, speed, and intricacy to absurd levels.

Forza Horizon 4: 10 Best Cars Featuring Full Widebody Kits

Don't miss the best Forza Horizon 4 cars that feature widebody kit upgrades, offering notable transformations to both their looks and performance.

Not only is this one of the largest, most open-ended games ever — particularly in the racing genre — but it also comes with an impressive array of sleek cars. There are now over 700 licensed cars that run the gamut in style and characteristics. With such a huge, virtually endless game, and a vast list of vehicles with detailed customizations, it can be tough to pinpoint which are the quickest in the lineup.

Updated January 24, 2025 by Stephen LaGioia: Forza Horizon 4' s thrills largely come from being able to zip across the vast locales of Britain in a range of robust, sleek vehicles. The sprawling open worlds and silky-smooth frame rates make this all the more fun. Playground Games has since released many awesome new cars, some of which are among the fastest ever. With FH4's delisting on Xbox and Steam stores in December 2024, many scrambled to return to the fold for one last spin or two. At the same time, some newcomers are jumping on board and experiencing this deep racer in all its glory for the first time, in the form of a (relatively) low-cost retail copy. And so we decided to refine and build upon this list of the most lightning-fast cars FH4 has to offer.

22 McLaren Speedtail

Debuting in 2019, this McLaren speedster remained a rare gem, being a limited-production hypercar that defines luxury — costing a whopping 2,250,000 CR at the Autoshow. Still, it's worth the investment for most drivers, as this car can absolutely fly with little effort, taking just over 12 seconds to hit 186 mph, and topping off at over 250 mph.

This distinct car sports an electric motor along with a twin-turbo V8 engine to round out its parallel hybrid configuration. It's truly the quickest of the quick, being the fastest that McLaren has produced, and boasts the swiftest acceleration of the UK manufacturer to boot.

21 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (2019)

755 BHP

Forza Horizon 4 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Both the more modern 2019 rendition of this Corvette ZR1 and its 2009 predecessor can tear it up on the open road, especially given its relatively low price of 255,000 CR at the Autoshow. However, this sleek sports car really flies ahead of the pack. Not only does it flex some super high speeds that can exceed 215 and hit 0 to 60 in just three seconds, but it's also very well-built.

It boasts a sophisticated fuel injection and engine cooling system with front-end vents, a large bolted rear wing, a front splitter, an active exhaust system, and double wishbone suspension. These details allow for solid and smooth, even-keeled drive and top-notch aerodynamics. To top it off, the car handles and brakes quite well, allowing for swift speeds even when braving winding roads.

20 Toyota Supra RZ

320 BHP

Touted as a nice blend of luxury, performance, and budget pricing (just 250,000 CR at the Autoshow), this Toyota has it where it counts — despite not being the flashiest or most potent car ever. In fact, the Supra RZ is highly capable, assuming players can deal with some more average handling and braking. This is especially the case when it comes to its solid launch abilities.

Players interested in the fastest cars in Forza Motorsport can't go wrong with these examples.

The Horizon Edition has been known to hit nearly 250 mph, though even this more common model can reach speeds near that level when tuned up. In addition to its cheap Autoshow pricetag, players can also score one of these cars upon hitting Tier 2 in Horizon Life: The Eliminator.

19 Koenigsegg CC8S

564 BHP

This is the iconic car from 2002 that helped put the Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg on the map, and for good reason. It blazed a trail and left a legacy that FH4 players can experience for themselves — by way of finding treasure chest #5 in the Fortune Island expansion. This sleek supercar is certainly worth seeking out.

Beyond being the first of its kind to sport dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors, as well as bespoke, fine-tuned chassis, suspension, and brakes, it's also capable of lightning speeds with just some basic tuning. It takes a bit longer than some others to get there given its more average acceleration, but once it gets rolling, it's hard to beat.

It boasts a speed statistic of 9.0 (S1883), and its handling and braking are solid, ensuring the ride will be smooth and stable even at warp speeds — which clocks in at over 240 mph.

18 Bugatti EB110 Super Sport

611 BHP

Bugatti EB110 Super Sport Forza Horizon 4 sunset doors open

With its all-wheel drive build and 3.5 quad-turbocharged V12 engine, this aerodynamic Bugatti is sure to assist many in blazing past opponents in Street and Drag Races in particular. These attributes help boost this beast from zero to 60 in under four seconds.

This limited-production supercar boasts some of the strongest launching and acceleration in the game, and players can hit speeds exceeding 220 mph rather quickly and comfortably. This can extend a few dozen mph more if properly tuned, even when sticking with the S2 class. The result of this is one of the all-time fastest cars currently in the game.

With this said, straightaways and flatter, smoother paths should be emphasized with this car, as its braking and handling aren't quite on the same level. Still, this is well worth shelling out for the normally steep price of 1,700,000 at the Autoshow. Players will want to keep an eye out for any seasonal events or Festival prizes, as this car has already been featured a handful of times there.

17 McLaren F1

627 BHP

Both visually appealing and well-crafted, this UK-manufactured supercar can easily hold its ground with the best of them. It's equipped with a 6.1L V12 engine and a highly aerodynamic build that pierces right through its path. The car has some history behind it, setting a production car top speed record in 1998, with blazing speeds of 240. The McLaren F1 also stands out for its carbon fiber-reinforced polymer monocoque chassis structure (CFRP, for much easier reading), and holds a central driving position for stability.

Forza Horizon 4: 15 Of The Best Cars For Jumps

If you're a fan of getting airtime, these are the best cars for jumps in Forza Horizon 4.

The lightweight car can blast to a whopping 60 mph in just over a mere three seconds, and can swiftly top off at well over 230 mph. When it comes to non-pre-tuned cars at least, this is one of the best money can buy in FH4. Specifically, players will need to spend a cool 2,000,000 CR at the Autoshow, but it's well worth saving up for.

16 Jaguar D Type

245 BHP

Don't be fooled by the retro appearance of this Jaguar classic from 1956; this car can really move under the right circumstances. Players will want to hang on tight when buzzing across Britain in this thing. The seatbelt-less vehicle can easily reach a solid 170 mph, largely thanks to its 3.4 Naturally-Aspirated I6 engine and its aerodynamic design.

This antique will cost a pretty penny, as players will have to shell out a sky-high 10,000,000 CR at the Autoshow. Still, those wealthier players will likely find this a worthy investment. It's a neat collector's item that also performs pretty impressively.

15 Porche 911 GT3 RS PO

493 BHP

With a potent 493 brake horsepower (bhp) and a 4.0L Naturally-Aspirated F6, this supercar impresses in both performance and speed. When upgrading to an S2 998 performance index, this beast offers near-perfect statistics across the board, particularly in its lightning-quick launch of 9.9 and awesome acceleration.

This lightweight car can fly from 0 to 60 mph in just three seconds, and hits a top speed of over 200 mph. It can be secured by reaching Tier 20 in Horizon Life: The Eliminator, and it's worth engaging in this fight to win one.

14 McLaren P1

903 BHP

This prototypical UK car is a perfect fit for this game, and not merely because of its country of origin. Its solid handling allows it to take on those abundant winding roads and slippery Winter Season a bit more smoothly.

This gorgeous car has a Twin-Turbocharged Hybrid V8 engine, allowing it to launch with great speed and coast smoothly to up to a top speed of at least 250 mph. This one is a great one to shell out the 1,350,000 credits for, as it's one of the (relatively) cheaper cars mentioned.

13 Hoonigan Ford "Hoonicorn" Mustang

1,400 BHP

It may have an odd name, and perhaps isn't quite the looker like some of the sleeker cars that boast lightning speeds. Yet, this notable custom drift car, the Hoonigan Ford Mustang, manages to do a lot with a little.

Forza Horizon 5 Fastest Cars With Great Handling
Forza Horizon 5: 30 Fast Cars That Handle Really Well

Forza Horizon 5 players know that the fastest cars can be hard to control sometimes, but these ones handle smoothly and can still reach high speeds.

Originally an add-on car in Forza Horizon 3 and Motorsport 7, this underrated vehicle is pretty solid and speedy, considering its manageable price of just 500,000 credits. It's one of the best "bang for your buck" cars in the game — at least for those who are all about speed first and foremost. This thing can quickly top out at 255 mph. It's also one of the fastest accelerating cars to boot, going from 0 to 100 in just 3.15 seconds.
