Leaked documentation suggests fans could get their first official look at Forza Horizon 6 at this year's Tokyo Game Show. It's been nearly four years since the last Forza Horizon game came out, marking the longest gap between entries the series has seen to date, but that wait could be coming to an end. If current rumors are to be believed, the sequel to Forza Horizon 5 could get a proper announcement in a little over a month.
The last title in Xbox's open-world racing franchise was a massive hit. When Microsoft made the decision to bring the series to Sony consoles, Forza Horizon 5 became the PS5's highest-selling game of 2025 so far. It makes sense that the company would want to follow up on that success with a big reveal for the next entry, and that may come before the year is up.

Amid new PlayStation leaks and rumors, Guerrilla Games and Sony should strive to avoid a notable Horizon Forbidden West issue with Horizon 3
Playground Games May Reveal Forza Horizon 6 at the Tokyo Game Show 2025
According to a report from Windows Central, internal documents have begun circulating suggesting developer Playground Games is planning to reveal Forza Horizon 6 at the 2025 Tokyo Game Show. An earlier leak claimed that Forza Horizon 6 would take place in Japan, which would make TGS a fitting backdrop for the announcement. A TGS showcase may also make those rumors more believable, as their initial source only technically suggested Japanese cars would be in the game, not necessarily that Japan would be its setting. However, an official reveal in the Land of the Rising Sun would be appropriate if the series does go to the much-requested location.
Rumors about the setting aside, TGS would make sense as the place to reveal the next entry in the series. The Tokyo Game Show is one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world, with last year's event drawing over 270,000 attendees. It would also mean the announcement is coming soon, as this year's TGS kicks off on September 25, 2025.
For now, Forza Horizon 6's presence at TGS 2025 is just a rumor, but it won't take long to learn if it's true or not. Considering the success of the last entry, though, Playground Games may have big plans in store for the next one. While Forza Motorsport series may be done, things are looking up for the Horizon branch of the Forza franchise, so it seems like racing game fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months.
