Sony has officially announced the free PlayStation Plus games for August 2024. Every month, PlayStation Plus subscribers across all tiers are treated to a fresh batch of free games. These free games vary wildly from one month to the next, and so it's always a guessing game as to what will be given away next.
The free PS Plus games for July 2024 are Borderlands 3, NHL 24, and Among Us, along with some bonus content for Genshin Impact. On top of all that, PlayStation Plus subscribers in July were also treated to the Concord beta early access. The August 2024 lineup doesn't include any extra freebies, but there's still plenty for subscribers to be excited about.
Rumor: PSP Game From 2008 Leaked for PS Plus Premium
A PlayStation Portable game first released in 2008 is apparently making its way to the PS Plus Premium lineup in the near future.
Starting Tuesday, August 6, PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. All three games are playable on PS4, and while Ender Lilies does not have a native PS5 version, backward compatibility means it will play on Sony's latest console with no problems. These three games will be available for PS Plus subscribers to claim until September 2. Those that have yet to claim the free PS Plus games for July 2024 have until August 5 to do so.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the games, Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a 2D action-RPG that has drawn comparisons to Hollow Knight and Soulslike games. It earned mostly positive reviews when it was first released in 2021. Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is a survival-horror game set in a mall, giving a bigger scope to the typical Five Nights at Freddy's jump-scare-driven gameplay. And finally, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the latest LEGO game from Traveller's Tales. It aims to re-tell the entire Star Wars Skywalker Saga, but in LEGO form, while simultaneously moving the LEGO franchise forward in some big ways.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has co-op support, so it should be a great choice for any PS Plus subscribers needing a new game to play with friends. In the meantime, those who are signed up for the higher tiers of PS Plus also have the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for August 2024 to look forward to as well, though they have yet to be announced at the time of this writing.
