Free PS Plus Games for November 2024 Are Available Now

PlayStation Plus subscribers can now download the service's free monthly games for November 2024. For years, Sony has offered a rotating set of three to four games as a monthly PS Plus perk, and November 2024's lineup looks rather appealing with a brand-new day one release, a fun Hot Wheels racer, and an open-world horror game.

As established in 2022's major PS Plus restructuring, the service has three separate tiers for subscribers to choose from. Where PS Plus Extra and Premium offer a huge catalog of games and classics for a higher price, the Essential tier is the service's entry-level option that has remained virtually unchanged from how PS Plus operated prior to the restructure. PS Plus Essential unlocks online multiplayer functionality for games and offers perks like the aforementioned monthly titles, exclusive PlayStation Store discounts, cloud saves, and more.

The free PS Plus games for November 2024 were announced last week, and right on schedule, Sony has made them available to download on the first Tuesday of the month. PS Plus subscribers across all tiers can now add Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and DEATH NOTE Killer Within to their libraries. Out of this trio, DEATH NOTE Killer Within is a standout addition as it's a day one release for PS Plus. This is the second day one game for the service in recent memory, with The Plucky Squire launching into PS Plus Extra and Premium back in September 2024.

Both PS4 and PS5 players can enjoy DEATH NOTE Killer Within and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, but Ghostwire: Tokyo is only playable on PS5. The supernatural action-adventure game by recently-revived Japanese studio Tango Gameworks initially launched in 2022 as a timed exclusive for the PS5 and made its way to Xbox Series X/S and PC a year later. Ghostwire: Tokyo's addition to PS Plus is also interesting since it marks another instance of an Xbox first-party game being offered in the service's monthly lineup, with the last one being Minecraft Legends in April 2024.

Overall, the November 2024 lineup of free monthly games for PS Plus looks quite solid. From horror to racing to social deduction, there's a lot of genre diversity to suit different tastes. As far as the PS Plus Extra and Premium additions go, Sony has yet to announce the games coming to the tiers this month. However, the Last Chance to Play section has confirmed that 18 games will depart PS Plus in November 2024, so Extra and Premium subscribers only have a few weeks left to play them if interested.
