Whereas Cursedland and Kiki are platformers, Along the Edge is a narrative-driven visual novel game about a woman named Daphne who moves to the French countryside to start a new life after a breakup and the loss of her baby. There, she discovers she actually comes from a line of witches. Along the Edge includes romance options and branching story paths depending on the choices that players make in the game. It has enjoyed a "Very Positive" rating from Steam users, and has earned strong marks from professional critics as well, with particular praise for its art style and story. Visual novel games may not be everyone's cup of tea, but fans of the genre should definitely make sure to claim Along the Edge while they still can.
