Freedom Wars Remastered lets players equip two weapons of their choice before going into an Operation. Of the six weapon types, you can choose any combination of weapons you wish to build your character to fit whatever play style you want.

Of the six weapon types, some have unique effects that occur when they charge up. There are three gun weapons and three melee weapons, with every weapon being customizable. Here are the six main weapon types and what makes them unique.

Freedom Wars Remastered: Should You Donate Resources

Freedom Wars Remastered greatly pushes players to donate resources; but should you just give away such valuable resources?

Every Weapon Type In Freedom Wars Remastered

There are six weapon types in total, and you'll be able to get new weapons by completing operations or by purchasing from the store Zakka in The Warren. While you can't choose the weapons of your Comrades, you can equip your Accessory however you'd like. You can change your weapons or the weapon of your accessory at any time, with there being no benefit or penalty for switching your weapons often or using the same ones. The six weapon types are:

Weapon Type

Traits

Light Melee

Quick attacks that are good for faster playstyles and only hitting one enemy.

Can sever Abductor limbs without needing a Flare Knife.

Heavy Melee

Wide arcing attacks that deal a lot of damage.

Well-placed attacks can hit multiple limbs of Abductors to deal multiplied damage as if hitting them multiple times.

Charged attacks can also launch you in the air at the end of your combo.

Slightly slows your movement speed when equipped.

Polearm

Most attacks have you charge through enemies to keep you moving away from incoming attacks.

Charged-up attacks will throw your polearm for huge amounts of damage from a safe range.

Assault Weapons

High total ammo carry capacity making it ideal as a primary weapon for gun-focused builds.

Can be shot when grappled with your Thorne letting you get better angles or shoot from a safe distance.

Portable Artillery

High single-shot damage with a low overall ammo carry capacity.

Explosive AOE shots that can also hit multiple limbs to deal more damage at once.

Slows your movement speed when equipped.

Autocannons

High rate of fire with a large ammo capacity and magazine size.

Individual shots don't deal a lot of damage but the high rate of fire greatly makes up for that.

Slows your movement speed when equipped.

Unlike the player, your accessory won't have to worry about ammo when using gun weapons.
