How To Get Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is a combat item that players can acquire relatively early in the game. Once you’ve obtained Level 003 Code Clearance, you can head over to Zakka in The Warren. Zakka offers a variety of weapons and combat items, including the Flare Knife, which can be purchased for 3,000 Entitlement Points.
To equip the Flare Knife, visit the Loadout menu in the Personal Responsibility Portal and select an available slot under Combat Items. If you own a Flare Knife, it will appear in the list, allowing you to equip it and take it into battle.
How To Use Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife's description states that it is a reusable combat tool designed for severing Abductor parts. This means that players who prefer using Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons can still sever Abductor limbs without resorting to Light Melee weapons. However, the Flare Knife is a one-time-use item, which means that you will need to purchase another one before the next Operation.
To use the Flare Knife, lock onto the specific part of the Abductor that can be severed and use your Thorn to pull yourself to that part of its body. If the Flare Knife is equipped in the active slot, you will get the option to sever. This triggers a quick QTE segment where you must mash a specific button. If you succeed in depleting the bar, the part will sever. Be cautious, though, as the Abductor can leap or crash into a wall to interrupt you.
When playing online with friends, you can snare the Abductor repeatedly to make severing easier.
