How To Gain Trust in Frostpunk 2

While there are a few different ways to increase Trust with a Faction, each of them can affect your city’s development, which is why you need to be careful.

Fund Projects

The easiest way to gain a Faction's Trust is to support and fund their projects. You’ll need somewhere between 100 and 300 Heatstamps to fund projects. Funding projects can improve your relationship with a Faction, but they can also have unintended consequences. Funded projects can sometimes lead to rallies or demonstrations on the streets. These events can increase Tension and worsen relationships with opposing factions.

Stay True To Your Promises

Breaking promises can lower your Trust levels, but if you stay true to your word, you can actually increase your Trust with a Faction. You can promise different things to a faction, like researching a favored project, passing a specific law, or constructing a building that benefits the faction directly.

Once you accept a promise, a timer will start, and you need to fulfill the promise within the allotted time to increase your Trust. You can also manually make promises and see them through.

Grant An Agenda

While it’s a bit riskier than making a promise , you can grant an agenda to a faction to instantly increase your Trust levels. When you grant an agenda, you essentially allow the faction to dictate the next law that will be brought to the Council.

You can simply grant agendas and manipulate factions into trusting you without having to do anything for them. By negotiating with opposing factions, you might also be able to influence the outcome of the proposed law in a way that benefits you.

Certain laws can directly improve your Trust with a faction if they align with their interests or address their concerns, while others can lower it. If a law is negatively affecting your Trust, you should address it in the next Council meeting and get it reversed.

Promote Factions

One last thing you can do to gain a Faction’s Trust is to promote them. Promoting a faction grants them extra seats on the Council and increases their influence. This can tip the scales in favor of their preferred laws but may upset the opposition.
