The fandom of Genshin Impact is a very active one, and leave it to the creative users all over the internet (especially Genshin's Reddit) to jump on the newest content to make memes of.
The newest area of the game has only been out for a few weeks yet there are already a plethora of memes of all the newest playable characters; both released and unreleased! Here are a few new fresh memes that any Genshin player can have a good laugh at.
20 Something Fishy Ahead
One of the most talked-about parts of the upcoming 2.1 update is the addition of a specific weapon. This weapon has been making its rounds all over the internet, everyone talking up the new Luxurious Sea-Lord, even without ever even trying it!
The Luxurious Sea-Lord is a claymore that is obtained as a special reward from the 2.1 Moonlight Merriment Event, and to no surprise (due to its revealing name), this "weapon" is actually a giant fish! This giant fish claymore hasn't even been released yet but that didn't stop fans from anticipating co-op runs looking like one giant aquarium with everyone showcasing their favorite claymore character and their new fishy event reward.
As one of the most unique weapons in the entire game (so far), who could blame players for wanting to show off a bit?
19 Sometimes, It's What's On The Outside That Counts
While something as calming as the creative experience of decorating one's own Serenitea Pot is, some players can get a bit competitive. When well-seasoned players aren't showcasing their all 5-star team or flexing their best artifacts, their lavishly furnished Serenitea Pot is just another thing newbies can be jealous of.
Newcomer or not, don't be too discouraged! It's important to take the time and appreciate all the furnishings in one's Teapot; no matter how big or small! In the end, no matter how extravagant, everyone's Serenitea Pot is exactly the same on the outside, and in this case, that's all that counts.
18 The Power Of The Almighty Teyvat Egg
The Traveler is known across the Teyvat as a well-seasoned adventurer; they saved Liyue harbor, defeated a Fatui Harbinger, and have even been given the coveted title of Honorary Knight Of Favonius. Their time is precious and can't be wasted doing trivial tasks or chores just any other civilian could handle.
While the weekly bounties may seem worthwhile, some of the requests seem a bit too mundane for such an important figure to take on. Most players can't help but feel a bit strange to stop the progress of protecting the people of Inazuma and fighting back the Vision Hunt Decree just to deliver a single egg. Perhaps there are more important things than weekly requests, but it's vital that the player increases their reputation. How will players get those stylish gliders otherwise?
17 Baal Wanters Will Be Baal Havers! (Hopefully)
This sentiment isn't a new one by any means, it just happens to always be the norm in the Genshin Impact fandom and doesn't seem to have any end any time soon. As the folks at miHoYo continue to pump out amazing character after character, players are doomed to the prison that is gacha life.
Baal was a particularly popular character; highly anticipated well before her release as she is the current Electro Archon. This ice-cold God of Eternity is a clear fan favorite despite her heartless demeanor. Good luck to all Genshin players saving their primos just for Raiden Shogun! Hopefully, everyone will have better luck than Thoma in this meme!
16 Double Standards...
When Childe was released, many fans were quick to take notice of how handsome he is. This seemed to be an issue considering Childe is indeed a Fatui Harbinger and tried to destroy all of Liyue harbor. Not only that, but any players that have Childe in their party know that many of his voice lines revolve around the idea of him one day becoming terrifyingly powerful and ruling the world.
However, once the tyrannical Baal was introduced, many of those that were strongly against Childe having such a large fanbase found themselves at a crossroads. Suddenly, it was perfectly fine to ignore how self-centered and cold Baal was simply because of her beauty. No one can blame those that folded so easily upon the Electro Archon's powerful presence. Sure, the Raiden Shogun may have her flaws, but who doesn't?
15 Mr. Fix It Here To Save The Day
During the main Archon quest, the Traveler pays a routine visit to the Komore Teahouse and is welcomed by a very distressed Taroumaru. The little Shiba inu's troubled barks and woofs alert the Traveler of the unfortunate news that Thoma had been kidnapped and was to be stripped of his Vision.
Players may have felt courageous attending the Vision Decree Hunt Ceremony, intending to swoop in and save their good friend, Thoma. However, this didn't go according to plan as in the end, once confronted by Baal, the Traveler needed Thoma to play the hero instead.
Unlike Baal herself, the first encounter with the Electro Archon wasn't pretty and many players left with barely enough HP to escape. After triggering a cutscene and having Baal knock the Traveler out of commission, a still tied-up Thoma is left to save the day. There are few things worse than embarrassing oneself in front of their crush!
14 Rerun After Rerun
As much as the fandom loves Noelle, it's not exactly rare to see players complain about how often she's pulled when trying to get one of their favorite 5-star characters to finally come home. Noelle was essentially given to players for free and is regularly featured in banners and reruns, so she's not exactly a rare character to pull.
It seems as if Genshin Impact fans can't hide their lament of the idea that Noelle may once again be featured during the upcoming banner for Electro Archon, Baal as it seems as if she was present for both Anemo and Geo Archons, Venti and Zhongli's, banners.
In the end, Noelle is a great character and this is all in good fun, this meme is simply just a trend that many players don't seem excited about.
13 Across The Stormy Seas With Not An Ice Bridge In Sight
Before the release of Inazuma, it was clear that the journey there wouldn't be an easy one. Players were incredibly quick to round up their favorite co-op buddies and build an ice bridge from Liyue, all the way to the new nation of Inazuma. In the end, it wasn't much of a surprise that the miHoYo devs were prepared and that this precarious plan didn't work out.
Any sneaky players that tried to access the region before its release were punished by dangerous storms and were quickly attacked by intense storms and powerful thunder. In the end, thanks to Captain Beidou, the Traveler and Paimon made it to Inazuma safe and sound.
12 No Free Wifi In The Serenitea Pot
For any new players that may not be familiar with Madame Ping, she is an adeptus that resides in Liyue and is the one that gives the player the gift of the magical Serentiea Pot to house characters and to furnish as their own home. The fandom was quick to take notice of Madame Ping's name but it was only during the "Teapot To Call Home" world quest that fans began to make the hilarious connection to their internet ping!
A perfect joke about the pun on Madame Ping's name and the fact that accessing Serenitea Pots are known to cause noticeable lag, this meme is a fairly accurate depiction of the whole Serenitea Pot experience.
11 Rose Colored Glasses
There will always be a distinction between the canon personality of a character and the fandom personality of a character. The canonical Scaramouche, Signora, Baal may not be the nicest characters in the Genshin Impact cast. These particular characters are cold, calculated, and generally don't seem like the easiest people to befriend.
However, it seems as if the Genshin fandom has already made up their mind about how they choose to see them. It's all in good fun of course! The villains of the Genshin Impact world may be harsh and violent individuals in-game, but leave it to the fandom to dig deep enough and find their soft sides!
