Despite being on the service for only about two weeks, it has climbed the charts and attracted a wave of new or returning players. Reportedly, Tarsier Studios' 2021 horror adventure is currently the third most-played title on Game Pass Standard, which is an impressive feat for a four-year-old game like Little Nightmares 2.

Game Pass offers plenty of worthwhile horror games, but the fact that Little Nightmares 2 has surpassed most of them could suggest that many players are giving the series a try to decide if the upcoming third installment is worth picking up. It is worth noting that this isn’t the first time Little Nightmares 2 has topped the charts. According to Video Game Insights, the game has sold about 1.5 million copies since its 2021 launch, placing it among the best-selling small-scale horror titles in recent years.
