Although some games already provide abundant base content for players to enjoy, some developers go a step further to provide various DLCs for the games they create. This downloadable content usually requires the player to purchase it so that they have extra things to do.

However, some developers create free DLC for their games that are either automatically added to the title as if it were an update or can be downloaded from the store for no extra cost. Therefore, these are not only some of the greatest games but also have some of the best free DLC.

1 Overcooked 2

Suns Out, Buns Out Adds All New Recipes And Kitchen Levels

Overcooked 2 is a cooperative cooking game that already has an abundance of recipes and levels for players to work through together. However, across the various seasons since its release by Team17, the game has received various updates that have allowed players to access free downloadable content.

One of the most loved free DLC to be released for Overcooked 2 was Suns Out, Buns Out. In this DLC, players were given a variety of summer recipes to put together, as well as an assortment of new kitchen levels that use dispensers that have only been seen in previous DLCs.

2 Titanfall 2

A Returning Map And New Game Modes With The War Games

Titanfall 2 is an FPS title by Respawn Entertainment that not only had an impressive campaign but also great multiplayer. Although referred to as updates, Spiritfarer tended to gift its players free DLC by creating additional passengers and therefore storylines for other lost souls that need help passing over. Being just as emotional as the other passengers players have met, these DLC residents also came with their own islands, giving players even more places to explore.

No Man's Sky had quite a rocky release with the action-adventure title not meeting players' expectations. However, Hello Games didn't give up as it continued to work on No Man's Sky, giving players all sorts of free DLCs through updates to create a survival experience in space that many players are now obsessed with.

The story has not only expanded, but the experiences players can have within No Man's Sky have also become greater. Some players even feel that Hello Games doesn't need to give players any more free DLCs, though the company continues to add all sorts of content to this space adventure.

6 Grand Theft Auto: Online

A Lot Of DLC That Included Heists, New Vehicles, And Other Facilities

Since its original release in 2013, Rockstar Games has continued to add more and more content to Grand Theft Auto Online to keep players interacting with the open-world action title. The game has continued to receive countless free DLC through various updates that not only include one of the biggest elements, heists, but also various other occupations for players to dive into.
