Summary
- Xbox Game Pass will remove nine games from the service on February 28.
- Yakuza 3 Remastered, Space Engineers, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun are among the titles leaving.
- Big titles like Far Cry New Dawn and Starfield were added Xbox Game Pass earlier in February.
February 28 may be a sad day for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as the service is losing at least nine games when the month ends. It's been a big month for the platform, with several noteworthy titles becoming available even for lower tiers and the highly anticipated Avowed getting a day-one release. As always, though, a new slate of Xbox Game Pass games means the loss of a handful of others.
Xbox Game Pass lost seven titles in mid-February, many of which had only been available for a full calendar year. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, A Little to the Left, and Tales of Arise, among others, all came to the service in February 2024, only to leave a year later. Still, several new arrivals may make up for their absence, but subscribers should take note of the next upcoming list of games leaving the platform if they hope to play them before they're gone.
Xbox Game Pass Confirms 3 More Games for February 2025
With Avowed on the horizon, Xbox Game Pass announces its February 2025 Wave 2 lineup, which consists of two AAA titles and one more game.
Xbox had previously announced that Yakuza 3 Remastered and Yakuza 4 Remastered would leave Xbox Game Pass in February after four years of availability. The same goes for the critically acclaimed Gris, which came to the service in September 2023. However, that initial departure announcement did not include F1 22, which now officially joins the list of games saying goodbye to Game Pass at the end of February. The racing title was available under EA Play, which is only included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, so not everyone will feel the loss, but it brings the total up to nine for the month.
All Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on February 28, 2025
- F1 22
- Gris
- Maneater
- PAW Patrol World
- Space Engineers
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
- Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
- Yakuza 3 Remastered
- Yakuza 4 Remastered
Fans hoping to gear up for the upcoming release of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii may want to dive into the departing Yakuza games before they're gone. While the third installment is not one of the most popular in the franchise, Yakuza 4 is essential to the series in terms of getting to know recurring characters and experiencing the gameplay at its best. The loss of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun may also hit hard for some subscribers, but there are still a few other Warhammer games on Xbox Game Pass for the time being.
While February 28 will see the end of some fan favorites on Xbox Game Pass, the platform has had some major upsides this month, too. Big titles like Far Cry New Dawn and Starfield came to Xbox Game Pass earlier in February, even for Standard subscribers. These, alongside the day-one release of Avowed, may make up for the loss in some players' eyes. Regardless, anyone wanting to play these nine titles without purchasing them separately has just 10 days to do so.
