Black Ops 7 is among the biggest games at this year's Gamescom, and players have been given more than just the November 14th release date at the event. For one, the campaign is shaping up to be the centerpiece of the experience, having four-player co-op as an option, as well as a new end-game mode that allows players to show off their skills against a range of foes in a brand new experience for the franchise.
Aside from the campaign, players were given a glimpse at the multiplayer and zombies modes, the latter of which will come with the classic Dead Ops mode for players to jump in for some more arcade-style fun. And for players who still want more, there will still be a few more events before the launch for players to get a few more glimpses at what's in store.

Lego Batman is back and bigger than ever, allowing players to once again take on the helm as the Caped Crusader, only this time, they will be exploring uncharted territory from the Dark Knight universe, along with plenty of references to other stories from the Batman universe.
The combat has been leveled up to give players more agency and to make them feel more like the hero himself, and the world itself is more open than ever, allowing for plenty of opportunities to glide, drive, swing, and run across Gotham in all its blocky glory.

World of Warcraft is finally getting its eleventh expansion with Midnight, journeying to Quel'thalas to protect the sacred Sunwell from the void that threatens it, and at launch in 2026, there will be three raids, eight dungeons, PvP battlegrounds, and more for players to experience.
Midnight also expands player progression with the Haranir allied race, a new Demon Hunter specialization, and Void Elves gaining Demon Hunter access. Also, the expansion introduces long-awaited player housing, offering full customization, décor rewards, and shared neighborhoods for players to finally have a true place to call their own.

Game Science has shown its face once again after the raging success of Black Myth: Wukong, this time with a short teaser for their next project that looks to tackle Zhong Kui, another iconic figure from Chinese folklore.
Zhong Kui himself is known as the vanquisher of ghosts and demons, recognized for his fierce face and commanding presence. Also, he is normally associated with warding off spirits and bringing safety, so only time will tell how that concept will translate to gameplay, and how his large size will be used within the game itself.

The Fallout show was a surprisingly faithful tribute to the post-apocalyptic gaming titan and proved to be one of the best video game adaptations ever made. The second season was already announced, but viewers have now been given a concrete release date to mark their calendars with on December 17th.
On top of the date, Gamescom showed off a new trailer including a few short clips teasing Vegas as a setting, of course, in reference to New Vegas. And right at the end of the trailer, there was a short glimpse of a Deathclaw, yet another classic enemy being brought to the big screen that will no doubt cause plenty of trouble for those who get too close.

Aside from major game releases and reveals, day one of Gamescom 2025 also boasted plenty of exciting DLCs and updates to existing games that are releasing just around the corner.
Some are small content drops with a few extra story missions and mechanics, like with Legacy of the Forge, while others, like Woolhaven, look to shake up the gameplay in a big way, so players should keep an eye out for even more updates to their favorite games that could be hiding in the remainder of the event.
