At various points throughout Gears of War: Reloaded, players will be given the option to go left or right. The first such instance of this occurs at the very start of the game's first chapter, with several more split paths presenting themselves later on as the story starts to unfold.

Every Gears Of War Game, Ranked

There have been a lot of great games in the Gears of War series but which one is the best overall?

Naturally, some players will be keen to know whether they should choose to go left or right, as there are times when video game choices can have a big impact on a playthrough. However, this isn't really the case with the left or right choices in Gears of War: Reloaded.

Should You Choose Left or Right in Gears of War: Reloaded?

Although choosing to go left or right will have a slight impact on your playthrough when it comes to the enemies that you face and the areas that you pass through, the differences are usually pretty negligible. There's perhaps an argument to be made that the left or right choice at the beginning of 14 Years After E-Day does matter a little, as choosing left will see players staring straight down the barrel of a Troika gun, although, when it comes to the narrative, it doesn't really matter which path players choose, as both paths lead to the same place.

Are There Any Choices That Matter in Gears of War: Reloaded?

The short answer to this question is no. That said, choosing left in the game's first chapter will result in players being thrown straight in at the deep end, so those new to the franchise may want to go right here instead. When it comes to the latter choices, though, it really doesn't matter. Each path is a little different, but there's never really one path that's objectively better than the other. In all likelihood, the whole reason that these left or right choices were added was to give co-op players a slightly different experience from one another, while also making the game feel a bit less linear.
