Gears of War: Reloaded Has 'Mixed' Users Reviews on Steam

Out of roughly 600 Steam reviews so far, 50% are negative. The main issue appears to be unstable performance, with many players reporting frequent crashes. Some even say the Gears of War: Reloaded beta offered a smoother experience, making the full release feel like a downgrade. Several players are also accusing GoW: Reloaded of false advertising, claiming pre-launch ads promised split-screen co-op on PC, which is missing in the current version. The developer has issued a statement acknowledging some the problems and assuring players that it is investigating the reports.

In its statement, the Gears of War developer admitted to performance issues that can cause crashes. It also acknowledged that many Steam players are experiencing matchmaking problems, while others are unable to claim their Gears of War: Reloaded pre-order rewards. However, no timeframe was given for when these issues will be fixed.
