Genshin Impact leakers never cease to find new and exciting things for the community, and this time the leak they've happened upon is exciting for players who love battle. The leak suggests that the current team count will go from 10 to 15 in Genshin Impact version 4.4. The upgrade to 10 was already impressive, giving players more teams to mess with and more templates to use. But at 15, those battle-hungry players will have more team comps to play with and use.
With Genshin Impact always moving and improving, there's always going to be a new character that players have their eyes on. Once they do that, it's only natural they'll want to find a new team for that unit. But if that player already has 10 team comps maxed, they might have to consider removing an old one to do that. With 15 teams instead, they won't have to worry about replacing old units with new ones, like the recent Genshin Impact Geo five-star Navia.

The Benefits of Having 15 Parties in Genshin Impact
With more party templates available to Genshin Impact players, there's more potential for fun and useful team comps. Fifteen team slots can give more options for the reason a team would exist. Some players use a team slot for a Genshin Impact friendship team, a team used to either do or claim commissions to give them friendship EXP and get closer to getting a new character namecard. Collecting namecards is one of the achievements possible in Genshin Impact, so a friendship team would benefit players at least until they get the achievement.
Having more team slots isn't just about more team comps for battles or building Abyss-ready teams; having more team slots can also give players a slot for an exploration team. If this leak is true, more players may feel encouraged to make a slot strictly for exploring new areas in Genshin Impact. In these teams, instead of worrying too much about DPS power, the comp could include:
- A single DPS in case the player runs into battle.
- A character who will show local specialties on the map.
- A unit that improves gliding or running stamina.
- If available, a character with special movement (Mona, Ayaka, Wanderer, Kazuha, etc.)
Why Have So Many Teams for Battle in Genshin Impact?
There's always a new character coming out for players to learn and use. Genshin Impact's developers believe that every character will always have their uses, and that though some units are more meta, this doesn't mean the old ones fall off. With this in mind, players who are attached to older units that might not be so meta, like Genshin Impact's Dehya, wouldn't have to set her to the side if someone new caught their eye.
With additional team slots available to the player, they can have a bunch of teams ready to go at a moment's notice. If they approach a group of enemies that their currently deployed team is unfit for, all it would take is a quick switch to the right team comp to fix the dilemma. Genshin Impact has recently added Local Legends in Fontaine for players to try their hand in combat as well. Having a team comp suited for those kinds of bosses in the wild would be beneficial for those currently exploring Fontaine or those who always happen to run into these bosses, no matter how hard they try to avoid them.
