Genshin Impact’s 5.4 update is set to be released on February 12, 2025. Between official announcements and recent leaks for Genshin Impact, plenty of the upcoming features have already been revealed ahead of 5.4's release.
Players can expect several quality-of-life features, a variety of events, and a new five-star character, among several other additions arriving in Genshin Impact’s version 5.4 update. While there may not be any new map expansions or Artifacts coming in this update, there is still plenty for players to look forward to.

Several new events are coming in the 5.4 update, including multiple co-op multiplayer events, a variety of mini-games, and the return of Genshin Impact’s Genius Invocation TCG event Heated Battle Mode: Automatic Artistry. Genshin Impact’s flagship event for this update will be the Enchanted Tales of Mikawa Festival, where players can complete various Inazuma-themed puzzle mini-games.
Genshin Impact 5.4: New Weapons
- Sunny Morning Sleep-In (five-star Catalyst)
- Tamayuratei no Ohanashi (four-star Polearm)
The Sunny Morning Sleep-In Catalyst is the signature weapon for Genshin Impact’s newest five-star character, Yumemizuki Mizuki. Naturally, this Catalyst will likely benefit Elemental Mastery stats, since this is Mizuki’s specialty.
Tamayuretia No Ohanashi is a four-star Polearm that will be available as a free reward from the flagship event in Genshin Impact’s 5.4 update. Players will also have the opportunity to earn this weapon’s refinement materials from the event. According to HomDGCat, this weapon’s substat is Energy Recharge, and its unique effect increases players' attack and movement speed after using an Elemental Skill.
Genshin Impact 5.4: New Five-Star Character
One of the characters revealed in Genshin Impact’s recent character reveal teaser will arrive in the 5.4 update, a new five-star Anemo Catalyst character, Yumemizuki Mizuki. Thanks to her healing abilities and her proficiency with Swirl Elemental Reactions, Mizuki is a highly versatile support character who can fit in a wide variety of team compositions. Mizuki will also play a central role in the story quest coming in the version 5.4 update.

Genshin Impact 5.4: Event Wish Banners
Alongside the new character Yumemizuki Mizuki, several popular Fontaine characters will be featured in Genshin Impact’s Event Wish Banner reruns during the 5.4 update, and there are already leaks regarding which four-star character could appear throughout this update. According to HomDGCat, Mika, Gorou, Sayu, and Chongyun could appear throughout the Event Wish Banners during the 5.4 update.

Lastly, the full Primogem count for Genshin Impact’s 5.4 update has leaked, via Hiragara. Thanks to this leak, players can plan for the upcoming Wish Banners ahead of time and use their Priomogems accordingly.
