With the Natlan arc ending in Genshin Impact, players will soon enjoy filler versions before the new region becomes available. To reminisce about the Traveler's past journeys, version 5.6 won't only bring characters from Fontaine like Escoffier, Navia, and Wriothesley, but the main quest will also revolve around Mondstadt characters. This is likely a buildup for the future Nod-Krai area, especially when it comes to old friends like Jean, Kaeya, Albedo, and Venti, and future acquaintances like Varka.

Players who are excited to reunite with Mondstadt characters can jump in once the Genshin Impact 5.6 maintenance ends.

When Is Genshin Impact 5.6 Coming Out?

Genshin Impact 5.6 is coming out on May 6, 2025, for players in the UTC-4 timezone and earlier, or May 7, 2025, for Travelers in the UTC-3 timezone and later.

The first phase of the version will feature a new character called Escoffier, and a 4-star unit called Ifa. Alongside Escoffier is the rerun banner of Navia in Genshin Impact.

Like most updates of HoYoverse games, Genshin 5.6 update will last five hours. Each hour of update time comes with a 60 Primogems compensation (minimum 300 Primogems).
