Genshin Impact has officially revealed another new character coming to the game as part of the Version 6.0 update, with Aino set to join the roster. The next update to the HoYoverse RPG is set to be the game's biggest patch of the year, with the next playable region coming with its launch. Nod-Krai is expected to boast some major story content for Genshin Impact, with HoYoverse revealing factions like the Knights of Favonius, the Fatui, and the Hexenzirkel involved with Nod-Krai's Archon Quest. Now, fans are getting a teaser of one of the region's first playable characters.
Ahead of Nod-Krai's launch, HoYoverse has teased a wide variety of characters set to appear throughout the region's main story. Nod-Krai will feature the official in-game debut of several long-rumored Genshin Impact characters, with Hexenzirkel member and Klee's mother Alice joining the game alongside Fatui Harbingers Columbina and Sandrone. The region will also feature the human form of Durin, who first appeared in Version 4.8, and the first appearance of Knights of Favonius Grand Master Varka. A new reveal is now showcasing one of Version 6.0's playable characters.
Genshin Impact Officially Reveals Lauma for Version 6.0
Genshin Impact kicks off the drip marketing for Lauma, the 5-Star Dendro Catalyst from Nod-Krai, who is shaping up to be a powerful support character.
Genshin Impact officially unveiled Aino as one of the game's next playable characters through the game's official social media accounts. Aino is teased as an inventor within Nod-Krai, said to be the "Parent of the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop" within the region. The post also gives a light hint about how Aino will fit into team compositions within Genshin Impact, confirming she will debut as a Hydro character. Aino is expected to debut during Version 6.0, currently scheduled to launch on September 10.
Genshin Impact Reveals Aino for Version 6.0
Aino will not be the only new character to join Genshin Impact's roster during Version 6.0, with HoYoverse already revealing another new cast member. Lauma will also be added to Genshin Impact during the game's next update, with the Frostmoon Scions priest coming as a new Dendro character said to use a Catalyst for her weapon. HoYoverse is also expected to reveal another character coming to Genshin Impact within the coming days, typically featuring three new characters when introducing a new region to the game.
While fans anxiously await the release of Nod-Krai, Version 5.8 is not lagging behind with its new content. The update brought the newest summer event to the game, with "Sunspray Summer Resort" adding the Easybreeze Summer Resort as a new area. Genshin Impact also added one new character to the roster in Version 5.8, with Ineffa introducing the new Lunar-Charged Elemental Reaction to the game. Genshin Impact players should have plenty to do in the RPG's newest update as the launch of Nod-Krai looms.
