Most 5-star units in Genshin Impact are strong without having any Constellations. However, some of them become insanely better when they unlock one or two of their Cons. For example, Raiden Shogun is a powerful Sub-DPS, but once players unlock Raiden’s second Constellation she becomes a true Electro Archon that can annihilate enemies from in front of her.
As for Baizhu, he’s able to generate some off-field Dendro and can reliably heal and shield his allies. While C0 Baizhu is a great unit to have, his Constellations still can further improve his utility. So, this guide is for players that are looking if Baizhu's Constellations are worth it in Genshin Impact.
Are Baizhu Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?
Baizhu Constellations are definitely worth it in Genshin Impact. His most notable ones are his C2 and C6 since they grant him a powerful and reliable off-field Dendro application without using any Elemental Skill or Burst. That doesn’t take away from his C1 and C4, but they should be treated as Constellations to be taken along the way and not a target to have on Baizhu in Genshin Impact.
C1 - Attentive Observation
- Effect: Universal Diagnosis gains 1 additional charge.
- Importance: Medium
Baizhu's healing is already decent without having another charge on his Elemental Skill. It’s still good to have two Gossamer Sprites jumping around enemies, but that doesn’t really add anything to Baizhu's kit, except for better Energy production.
C2 - Incisive Discernment
- Effect: When your own active character hits a nearby opponent with their attacks, Baizhu will unleash a Gossamer Sprite: Splice. Gossamer Sprite: Splice will initiate 1 attack before returning, dealing 250% of Baizhu's ATK as Dendro DMG and healing for 20% of Universal Diagnosis's Gossamer Sprite's normal healing. DMG dealt this way is considered Elemental Skill DMG. This effect can be triggered once every 5s.
- Importance: Priority
C2 Baizhu is a great Support unit to have in Genshin Impact. When an active character attacks while Baizhu is on the team, a Dendro attack will follow without Baizhu having any of his Elemental Skill or Burst active. That extra effect on C2 Baizhu further improves his off-field ability to apply Dendro without any cost or requirement.
C4 - Ancient Art of Perception
- Effect: For 15s after Holistic Revivification is used, Baizhu will increase all nearby party members' Elemental Mastery by 80.
- Importance: Low
It’s always great to have a passive that increases the team’s Elemental Mastery since it improves the team’s performance in general. But, not when it’s a fourth Constellation. C4 Baizhu's passive effect is still good but not when taking into consideration how much each 5-star Constellation costs in Genshin Impact.
C6 - Elimination of Malicious Qi
- Effect: Increases the DMG dealt by Holistic Revivification's Spiritveins by 8% of Baizhu's Max HP. Additionally, when a Gossamer Sprite or Gossamer Sprite: Splice hits opponents, there is a 100% chance of generating one of Holistic Revivification's Seamless Shields. This effect can only be triggered once by each Gossamer Sprite or Gossamer Sprite: Splice.
- Importance: Priority
Previously, Noelle’s A1 passive was the only passive to shield the active unit while Noelle was off-field without using any of her Skill or Burst. Now, C6 Baizhu is able to keep shielding the active units and dealing some decent damage with his off-field Dendro attacks. It’s a great ability to have, especially since Baizhu's second Constellation attack can also summon his shield.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
