Weapons are often given as rewards during big events, and players are able to maximize their refinement level as long as they participate. Some of these weapons have amazing passives that work with a variety of characters, so it's pretty disappointing that they aren't available for people who need them. Hopefully, in the future, Genshin will implement a system similar to Hoyoverse's other game, Honkai Star Rail, to make them more accessible.

10 Tamayuratei No Ohanashi

A Gift From The Mikawa Festival

Tamayuratei no Ohanashi is a polearm introduced in version 5.4 as a reward for playing the Mikawa Festival event. It's a great weapon with a universal passive that works with basically any character, increasing ATK by a huge 40% after using a skill. Energy Recharge is one of the best secondary stats to have as it allows players to focus on offensive substats without sacrificing Elemental Burst uptime.

As one of the more recent event weapons, this polearm is probably in many travelers' inventory, but it'd definitely be great for new or returning players in the future. Not only is it a great generalist weapon, but it also has a fun design and adds to Inazuma's overall world building.

9 Calamity Of Eshu

One Of The Best Free Swords

Many event weapons are useful, but few stand out as amazing additions to a player's roster. Calamity of Eshu is probably the best event weapon to date purely because it offers amazing value. Due to free refinement levels, players are easily able to make use of 40% extra damage on Normal and Charged attacks as well as an extra 16% CRIT RATE.

The best part about this weapon is that its effects only require the use of a shield. Aside from the plethora of existing shield characters, the 5.x versions have introduced two new shielders to Genshin's list of playable characters: Lan Yan and Citlali. These two have great shielding and support capabilities that will protect and enhance any DPS in battle.

As one of the cutest weapons in the game, it may surprise some players that the "Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword" is incredibly useful. In general, the claymore weapon type has few good F2P options, so making this weapon permanent could help many people. It has Energy Recharge as a secondary stat and a good generalist passive anyone can use.

Although catalyst characters have a reputation as supports and sub-DPS, there are actually a good number of main damage-dealers in the roster. For example, the Ballad of the Boundless Blue was featured in the same patch as Neuvillette and Wriothesley, possibly as an alternate option for people who didn't pull for their signature weapons, but even before them, characters like Wanderer existed.

This weapon has a stacking passive that increases Normal and Charged Attack damage by up to 36% at its maximum, which is great since most catalyst DPS use both while they're on the field. The Energy Recharge secondary is good, but it's clear that this weapon was made with HP-scaling characters in mind as they don't need the extra ATK.

As far as claymores go, Mailed Flower is a great weapon that is a little nice but performs well where it's needed. It's passive increases both ATK and Elemental Mastery after the holder triggers a reaction, which is done easily enough in Genshin. However, given that Elemental Mastery is the most important aspect of this weapon, only half the cast can really make use of it.

Elemental Master increases damage done by reactions, so it's good for teams that employ Melt, Vaporize, Quicken, and Aggravate. Characters like Diluc, Gaming, and even Mavuika can make use of this weapon, but for the majority of claymore wielders, extra ATK would be better.

5 Toukabou Shigure

The character wielding this weapon will deal 16/20/24/28/32% more DMG to the opponent affected by Cursed Parasol.

Modeled after a yokai from Japanese folktales, Toukabou Shigure is a fun umbrella-shaped sword that was released during an Inazuma event in version 3.3. Its lower base ATK is supplemented by a large Elemental Mastery secondary stat and a great passive that increases damage dealt to a target after it's hit. However, the passive only affects one enemy at a time.

The sword category has many characters that can make use of this weapon. Keqing and Alhaitham are great main DPS that like the extra points in Elemental Master and the passive extra damage. It's also a great alternate weapon for Kuki, who is one of the best Hyperbloom characters in the game.

4 Missive Windspear

During the Of Ballads and Brews event, players were able to receive the Missive Windspear, a polearm that increases ATK and Elemental Master after triggering a reaction. It's a good generalist weapon that's easily used by most of the polearm roster. In fact, Cyno was later released in the same patch, and it's a great option for him given its ease of use and extra stats.

Aside from Cyno, characters like Rosaria, Thoma, and Xiangling also benefit from the extra ATK and Elemental Mastery that's provided. It can be especially used in Vaporize and Melt teams, giving them a boost in reaction damage. The ATK secondary stat also makes it a more offensive option compared to its claymore counterpart, the Mailed Flower.

3 Cinnabar Spindle

The 4-Star Signature Weapon

Cinnabar Spindle is an incredibly niche weapon, but that's also why it's so valuable. There are only three swords with DEF as a secondary stat, and Cinnabar Spindle is by far the most useful, providing a huge 69% bonus to DEF and a great passive that increases skill damage by a large margin. Luckily, there are only three characters that scale their damage with DEF: Albedo, Chiori, and Xilonen.

This sword was initially designed for Albedo, but it's also a great alternative for Chiori, who has a similar kit. Unfortunately, it's no longer available, so people who don't have Chiori's signature weapon will have to settle for something else.

The Luxurious Sea-Lord claymore is one of the most iconic event weapons in the game purely for its visual design. Being able to swing around a huge fish in the game is fun, and it's not a bad weapon either. To make up for a low base ATK, the weapon provides an extra 55% as a secondary stat, and it increases the wielder's Elemental Burst damage by 24%.

The secondary effect where the weapon deals AoE damage is pretty negligible. There have been other weapons that do the same thing, but Luxurious Sea-Lord is rated higher because of the extra Burst damage it provides. However, a school of fish dealing damage is pretty funny.

The Festering Desire was Genshin's first event weapon, and it was introduced alongside the Dragonspine area and Albedo. Many early Genshin players remember this weapon fondly because it's actually a great weapon that is still useful for many characters. It provides extra skill damage and increases CRIT RATE of skills by 12%, which is pretty rare for a free weapon.

This sword was great at the time, but its value has only increased over the years. Characters like Chiori, Alhaitham, and Furina make great use of this weapon because they rely on their Elemental Skill for damage. The Energy Recharge secondary state is even more useful since they don't rely on just ATK for damage.
