As of Genshin Impact 2.6, Polearm users pretty much dominate the meta. Characters like Hu Tao, Raiden Shogun, Shenhe, Xiangling, and Zhongli are all widely used in the community. Ever since their release, the number of Polearm wielders has risen rapidly. This even causes some memes to arise, saying that the game is now called "Polearm Impact."

Considering how popular Polearm characters are, it's no surprise that players would want to own the best Polearm possible. To help determine which weapon is worth upgrading, this article will list the best Polearms in Genshin Impact.

Every weapon passive is written with the effect of Refinement Rank 1 ~ Refinement Rank 5.

8 White Tassel

White Tassel
White Tassel from Genshin Impact
  • Primary Stat: 401 ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 23.4% CRIT Rate
  • Passive: Increases Normal Attack DMG by 24~48%.

White Tassel is a 3-Star Polearm that is obtainable through chests in Liyue. So even if players don't wish to use it, it's highly recommended to save at least one R5 White Tassel. Otherwise, once all the Genshin Impact chests are looted, Travelers will no longer have the chance to get more of this Polearm.

7 Blackcliff Pole

Blackcliff Pole in Genshin Impact
  • Primary Stat: 510 ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 55.1% CRIT DMG
  • Passive: After defeating an opponent, ATK is increased by 12~24% for 30s. This effect has a maximum of 3 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others.

Blackcliff Pole is a F2P 4-Star Genshin Impact weapon that can be bought from the Paimon's shop. It will cost players 24 Masterless Starglitter, and three weapons can be bought every two months. The Blackcliff weapons are highly popular because of their Critical Damage sub-stat. This is a huge help for players in building a good Critical Rate ratio. The only thing stopping the Blackcliff Pole from dominating as the best 4-Star Polearm is the fact that its passive can be unreliable.

6 Deathmatch

Deathmatch in Genshin Impact
  • Primary Stat: 454 ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 36.8% CRIT Rate
  • Passive: If there are at least 2 opponents nearby, ATK is increased by 16~32% and DEF is increased by 16~32%. If there are fewer than 2 opponents nearby, ATK is increased by 24~48%.

Deathmatch may offer a low base ATK, but it has a massive Critical Rate sub-stat. With this equipment, players basically no longer need to worry about having enough Critical Rates. The only downside of this Genshin Impact Polearm is that it costs real money to get.

5 Favonius Lance

Favonius Lance from Genshin Impact
  • Primary Stat: 565 ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 30.6% Energy Recharge
  • Passive: CRIT hits have a 60~100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12~6s.

The Favonius series in Genshin Impact consists of amazing supportive weapons. They can turn any character to become a Battery in the team, allowing easy access to refilling the party's Elemental Burst. However, when using this Polearm, players need to remember that the passive will only trigger on Critical hits. So even though it is carried by a support, it's still important to build a Critical Rate stat on the character.

4 "The Catch"

The Catch in Genshin Impact
  • Primary Stat: 510 ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 45.9% Energy Recharge
  • Passive: Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 16~32% and Elemental Burst CRIT Rate by 6~12%.

The Catch is a F2P Polearm that can be collected by fishing in Genshin Impact. Unlike the Favonius Lance, this weapon focuses on boosting the damage of a Sub-DPS. The Catch is especially good for units like Raiden Shogun, Rosaria, and Xiao.

3 Primordial Jade Winged-Spear

Primordial Jade Winged Spear in Genshin Impact
  • Primary Stat: 674 ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 22.1% CRIT Rate
  • Passive: On hit, increases ATK by 3.2~6.0% for 6s. Max 7 stacks. This effect can only occur once every 0.3s. On max stacks, DMG dealt is increased by 12~24%.

To make up for its low secondary stat, Primordial Jade Winged-Spear has a massive base ATK. Even though it is mostly good for a main DPS, PJWS is still good on a Genshin Impact Sub-DPS.

2 Staff Of Homa

Staff of Homa in Genshin Impact
  • Primary Stat: 608 ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 66.2% CRIT DMG
  • Passive: HP increased by 20~40%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 0.8~1.6% of the wielder's Max HP. When the wielder's HP is less than 50%, this ATK bonus is increased by an additional 1~1.8% of Max HP.

Unlike Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, Staff of Homa is far more flexible. Any unit can benefit from its passive, where it increases HP and then provides an ATK bonus based on the wielder's HP. Both Sub-DPs and main DPS characters can perform amazingly with the Staff of Homa.

1 Engulfing Lightning

Engulfing Lightning in Genshin Impact
  • Primary Stat: 608 ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 55.1% Energy Recharge
  • Passive: ATK increased by 28~56% of Energy Recharge over the base 100%. Maximum 80~120% ATK. Gain 30~50% Energy Recharge for 12s after using an Elemental Burst.

Finally, as one of the best Polearms in Genshin Impact, Engulfing Lightning is placed at the top of the list. Unlike Staff of Homa and Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, Engulfing Lightning is mostly suitable for a support or Sub-DPS. However, considering most Polearm characters in Genshin Impact are either a support or a Sub-DPS, Engulfing Lightning provides a more universal use than the two offensive weapons. This arguably makes Engulfing Lighting the best Polearm in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
