Long after Yanfei, Shikanoin Heizou is the newest DPS-exclusive unit in Genshin Impact. Both characters use Catalyst as their Genshin Impact weapons, but unlike the Pyro Yanfei, Heizou owns an Anemo Vision.

However, even though Heizou wields a Catalyst, he’s not a ranged unit like the rest of the Catalyst users. Shikanoin Heizou’s basic hits will still be Anemo, but he’s a melee character that attacks with kicks and punches. For Shikanoin Heizou’s best build in Genshin Impact, players should recognize the enemy they will be facing.

Shikanoin Heizou’s Best Build In Genshin Impact

As an Anemo character with a massive Elemental Reaction potential, Heizou’s build is split into two groups; Swirl and classic build. To put it simply, Swirl is the better option for multi-target, whereas classic build (ATK/Anemo/Crit) is better for single-target. This is caused by Swirl’s mechanics, where the Reaction’s damage-dealing potential grows with the number of enemies nearby.

Shikanoin Heizou’s Best Build For Single-Target

Artifact Main Stats

• Timepiece: ATK or Elemental Mastery
• Goblet: Anemo DMG Bonus or Elemental Mastery
• Circlet: Critical Rate or Critical Damage or Elemental Mastery

For single-targets, ATK/Anemo/Crit is the best option, with EM/Anemo/Crit following right behind. Meanwhile, the triple Elemental Mastery build loses a lot of its potential on single-target.

Artifact Sets

• 4-Viridescent Venerer
• 2-Viridescent Venerer + 2-ATK +18%
• 2-Viridescent Venerer + 2-Wanderer’s Troupe
• 2-Wanderer’s Troupe + 2-ATK +18%

Even for single targets, 4-Viridescent Venerer is still the best artifact set for Shikanoin Heizou. Following behind it are artifacts that grant ATK +18% and Wanderer’s Troupe for additional 80 Elemental Mastery.

Since this build focuses on the classic ATK and Crit stats, Skyward Atlas and Lost Prayer both dominate the top spots. Memory of Dust actually has the potential to outperform the other two, but sadly, the Genshin Impact Catalyst is highly dependent on a shield. Without a shielder, players will be missing out on its +20% ATK bonus.

For a Genshin Impact shielder, players can use Zhongli, Diona, and Thoma. However, note that none of them are good for Elemental applications. The lack of Elemental applications means players will be triggering less Swirl on the field.

Shikanoin Heizou’s Best Build For Multi-Target

For multi-target, players should definitely go for a triple Elemental Mastery build. This will ensure maximum Swirl damage.

• 2-Wanderer’s Troupe + 2-ATK +18%
• 2-Viridescent Venerer + 2-Wanderer’s Troupe

The top Genshin Impact artifact set for this build is still 4-Viridescent Venerer, but the other options preferably include Wanderer’s Troupe for its +80 Elemental Mastery bonus.
