Similar to Childe in Genshin Impact, Kamisato Ayato relies on his Hydro infusion to deal DMG. This infusion is obtained for a few seconds through his Elemental Skill. Meanwhile, his Elemental Burst is somewhat similar to Ganyu, where he causes Hydro rain on the battlefield. In a team, Kamisato Ayato appears to work best either as a main DPS or as a Hydro enabler.
Genshin Impact Tier List
Here's a Genshin Impact tier list to help players see who's in the meta and who isn't.
Updated May 29, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah: Escoffier has changed the game for Cryo-needing teams. Now, Morgana teams have a very strong debuffer who shreds enemies’ resistance by a whopping 55%. Of course, with an ability like that, all the Hydro and Cryo characters are making a comeback. There aren’t many units in Genshin Impact that are excellent at constantly applying Hydro in an AoE. Whether players are seeking to use Ayato as a main DPS or go stray and use him as a Hydro enabler, it’s crucial to know the best team comp for Ayato in Genshin Impact.
5 Ayato + Furina + Citlali + Escoffier
Playing Ayato in a Freeze team is far better than it used to be before Natlan, thanks to Citlali and Escoffier. Citlali can reduce enemies’ resistance by 20% while increasing Ayato’s DMG by 40% with her Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City set. On the other hand, Escoffier heavily shreds enemies’ resistance by 55%, which will insanely buff Ayato’s Hydro DMG. Finally, Furina will take Ayato’s DMG to the next level with her Elemental Burst’s buff.
Team Roles
- Ayato: Main DPS, Hydro Enabler
- Furina: Sub-DPS, Healer, Buffer, Hydro Enabler
- Citlali: Shielder, Buffer, Debuffer, Cryo Enabler
- Escoffier: Sub-DPS, Debuffer, Cryo Enabler
4 Ayato + Nahida + Nilou + Baizhu
Since Ayato has a strong Hydro-enabling ability, players can include him in a Bloom team in Genshin Impact. When he finishes his Elemental Skill, players can count on Ayato’s Elemental Burst and Nilou’s Hydro-enabling ability to keep the Hydro application going. From the Dendro units' side, Nahida and Baizhu barely need any field time to keep the field flooding with off-field Dendro attacks.
Team Roles
- Ayato: Main DPS, Hydro Enabler, Driver
- Nahida: Sub-DPS, Buffer, Debuffer, Dendro Enabler
- Nilou: Buffer, Hydro Enabler
- Baizhu: Healer, Shielder, Buffer, Dendro Enabler
3 Ayato + Nahida + Kuki Shinobu + Baizhu
Aside from Bloom teams, Ayato can also work with other Dendro reactions in Genshin Impact. Replacing Nilou with Kuki Shinobu boosts Nahida’s DMG by introducing the Spread reaction to her DPS.
Ineffa Team Composition Guide In Genshin Impact
Ineffa provides damage bonuses for Lunar-Charged reaction in Genshin Impact, so including Hydro characters in Ineffa team comps is highly recommended.
Additionally, Ayato will create Bloom cores that remain on the field, waiting for Kuki’s Electro to transform them into Hyperbloom missiles. It’s a strong team with enough synergy to continuously create and trigger Hyperbloom DMG in Genshin Impact.
Team Roles
- Ayato: Main DPS, Hydro Enabler, Driver
- Nahida: Sub-DPS, Buffer, Debuffer, Dendro Enabler
- Kuki Shinobu: Healer, Electro Enabler, Hyperbloom Trigger
- Baizhu: Healer, Buffer, Dendro Enabler
2 Ayato + Fischl + Ororon + Ifa
For F2P Ayato teams, you can pair Ayato with Electro characters to trigger as many Electro-charged reactions as possible. Although Ayato is mostly a main DPS, he has a strong Hydro application when he leaves the field, helping both Fischl and Ororon to trigger more Electro-charged reactions. On top of that, when Fischl gets her C6 passive ability, she will be able to send an Electro attack with every Ayato Normal attack, creating an endless stream of Electro-charged reactions. This Electro-charged atmosphere will allow Ororon to enter his Nightsoul's Blessing state and buff Ayato’s DMG by 40%.
Ineffa Best Weapons In Genshin Impact
Ineffa needs to have offensive stats like ATK and Crit from her weapons in Genshin Impact.
When Ayato’s Elemental Skill is on cooldown and his Elemental Burst is up, players can switch to Ifa to roam around enemies, shooting them with Anemo attacks and reducing their resistance to further increase the effectiveness of every Electro-charged reaction. Players can replace Ifa with many other Anemo units, especially Sucrose, who can greatly buff the team’s Elemental Mastery.
Team Roles
- Ayato: Main DPS, Hydro Enabler
- Fischl: Sub-DPS, Electro Enabler
- Ororon: Sub-DPS, Buffer, Battery, Electro Enabler
- Ifa: Healer, Buffer, Debuffer, Swirl Trigger
1 Ayato + Kazuha + Xiangling + Bennett
This team adopts the mainstream idea of the national team. Usually, the Hydro unit in this team composition is Xingqiu, but here, Kamisato Ayato takes the lead. The idea behind having the Pyro characters is to trigger Vaporize reactions with Ayato and Xiangling. Meanwhile, Kazuha and Bennett will allow both characters to deal massive DMG.
No matter how strong Xiangling’s Energy Recharge stat is, she always needs Bennett to regain her Elemental Burst. And it’s not bad, since Xiangling snapshots Bennett’s buff, which means her Pyronado will spin around the entire duration buffed by Kazuha and Bennett’s buffs. Not to mention, both Pyro characters will trigger the Pyro Resonance, adding 25% extra ATK to the team.
Team Roles
- Ayato: Main DPS, Hydro Enabler
- Kazuha: Crowd Control, Buffer, Debuffer
- Xiangling: Sub-DPS, Pyro Enabler
- Bennett: Support, Healer, Buffer, Battery
