The Guuji of Narukami Shrine in Genshin Impact is a descendant of the Kitsune lineage, which explains her fox ears and tails. Other than being a chief priest, Yae also runs a publishing house. Yae Miko’s build in Genshin Impact is straightforward as she does what most off-field Electro users do. However, it may get confusing whether to build her more towards EM or ATK, since both stats show solid numbers in her gameplay.

Building Electro units in Genshin Impact isn’t easy because most of their Elemental Reactions notably deal less damage than other offensive Elements. For an Electro DPS to perform well, it’s important to build them with correct stats that can boost their raw and reaction damage.

As one of the most notable damage dealers in Genshin Impact, picking Xiao's best weapon can really affect his performance.

Updated on February 27, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: With Dendro reactions saving the Electro Vision in Genshin Impact, many Electro users started performing way better than they used to. However, characters like Yae Miko were outperformed by simple units like Fischl and Kuki Shinobu. But, even with her long on-field time, Yae can still shine in many situations when she’s wielding the right weapon and artifact set that can take her damage to the next level. For that, it’s necessary to update this article to include the correct ways to build Yae Miko in Genshin Impact.

Best Artifact For Yae Miko In Genshin Impact

genshin impact best yae miko artifacts

The best artifacts' main stats for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact heavily depend on her role in the team. Generally, Attack/Electro/Crit is the way to go. As for the best, there’s no doubt that the best artifact set for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact is the 4pc Golden Troupe since it grants her Elemental Skill a whopping 70% extra damage.

It gets tricky when Yae joins a Hyperbloom team in Genshin Impact, since now she can be the core of so many Elemental Reactions, which are Quicken, Aggravate, Hyperbloom, and Electro-Charged. For such team comps, you can go full EM/EM/EM with 4pc Flower of Paradise Lost to maximize her Hyperbloom and Electro-Charged Reactions or build her with EM/Electro/Crit and 4pc Gilded Dreams to balance all of her damage at once. Keep in mind, that both Gilded and Flower sets are only viable when Yae is a part of a Dendro reactions team in Genshin Impact.

Pairing Yaoyao with the right teammates will make her a much better combatant.

Generally speaking, a mix of +15% Electro DMG and +18% ATK is a great option for Yae Miko's Electro DMG. You can also mix things up with more +18% ATK or +80 EM if the other two-piece set isn't available. Theoretically, 4pc Thundersoother is also a decent choice of artifacts for Yae Miko, assuming the enemies she hits always have an Electro aura. This set is unreliable due to its condition, but you can still use the Thundersoother set if Yae Miko is included in mono-Electro or Electro-Charged teams.

Finally, you can also opt for highly situational sets like Emblem or Tenacity. 4pc Tenacity of the Millelith is amazing if you’re willing to lose a portion of Yae's personal damage in exchange for a large and stable buff for the team, while 4pc Emblem of Severed Fate is great if you can set up the field where the Kitsune is heavily buffed before unleashing her Elemental Burst. Of course, it's also important to ensure the enemies are grouped together so that her thunderbolt can hit multiple enemies at once, which will exceed the DPS provided by her Elemental Skill.

Best Weapon For Yae Miko In Genshin Impact

yae miko using kagura verity in genshin impact

As expected, Kagura’s Verity is the best weapon for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact. It grants a significant buff to her Elemental Skill, which is the star of her kit. Other 5-star Catalysts like A Thousand Floating Dreams, Skyward Atlas, and Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds are good since each grants Yae an important stat that boosts her damage.

For F2P players, Mappa Mare is a decent option for Yae Miko. The Widsith is also an excellent choice, but the Catalyst only comes from gacha. As for other 4-star weapons for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact, Solar Pearl, Oathsworn Eye, and Wandering Evenstar can slightly increase her damage output until you can get a better option.

Finally, if Yae Miko is operating as a buffer with the Tenacity set, she can wield Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers or Hakushin Ring to notably buff the damage of one of the characters in her team.

Yae Miko's Talent Overview

Yae Miko has one of the lowest Normal Attack multipliers among the Catalyst users in Genshin Impact, so using her as a Main DPS would be far from optimal. She’s best used as an off-field Sub-DPS.

Elemental Skill

Yae Miko casting her Elemental Skill in Genshin Impact

When you use Yae Miko’s Elemental Skill, she will move in the designated direction, leaving a Sesshou Sakura behind. This fox turret will periodically deal damage to one enemy in the area. She can have up to three charges saved, and a maximum of three Sesshou Sakura can be deployed on the field.

Genshin Impact: Best Nahida Build Guide

The best build for Nahida in Genshin Impact is quite complicated as players need to balance her stat out.

The turrets have up to four levels, but at zero Constellation, the highest grade you can get is level three. To increase the strength, you simply have to use the skill when a turret exists nearby. This will link the foxes together, increasing their level simultaneously.

Sesshou Sakuras of different levels can exist at the same time. This can happen if you cast the skill too far from the existing turret.

Elemental Burst

Genshin Impact Reveals Phase 2 Characters and Weapons for Version 4.4

Yae Miko’s Elemental Burst is very straightforward. She summons a lightning bolt from the sky, dealing massive Electro damage. If her fox turret exists on the field, they will blow up and deal an even higher amount of Electro damage. For every Sesshou Sakura destroyed, Yae Miko will gain one charge of Elemental Skill, which allows her to recast her Skills all over again. Yae Miko's Burst is not a single-target and has a small AoE, so if you can group enemies before unleashing it, you'll significantly increase the Guuji's DPS.
