The Masters of the Night-Wind tribe in Genshin Impact uses painting to record stories of their tribe, so it's no surprise that the area is filled with puzzles related to paintings. The Tribe Reputation Quest also revolves around this idea.
In Natlan, players can mess around with color puzzles by utilizing Hued Monetoo, which can apply color to an object. One of the most notable uses of Hued Monetoo is inside the Cavern of the Legendary Mural, where players can earn the Every Picture Tells a Story achievement in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact: Purple & Crimson Obsidian Rings Guide (How To Get & Use)
Purple and Crimson Obsidian Rings are required to open the Tribal Secret Space in Flower-Feather Clan and Masters of the Night-Wind in Genshin Impact.
Every Picture Tells A Story Achievement In Genshin Impact
To get the Every Picture Tells a Story achievement in Genshin Impact, players must solve three puzzles in the Cavern of the Legendary Mural. The cave is located south of the Tenebrous Papilla boss in Genshin Impact. Under the boss area, there are two Teleport Waypoints; choose the further one, then head inside the cave until there are some Hued Monetoo in sight.
Players also visit this area when they're doing the Legendary "Color" quest in Genshin Impact.
Puzzle #1
For the first puzzle, players must color the fruits on the wall using the Hued Monetoo. The correct color can easily be seen from the fruits hanging in the area.
Once the painting is restored, the wall will split open, allowing players to enter deeper into the cave. Head inside, then go up the cliff by climbing or using an Iktomisaurus skill until you reach a dead end where the second puzzle is.
Puzzle #2
After reaching the second puzzle area, players will see a cutscene where two figures are fighting in a painting. Help the orange Monetoo by scanning the painting and then placing the scanned image on the floor. This will summon some enemies; defeat them.
Once the enemies are out of the picture, the orange Monetoo will color the rocks in the painting. Now, players must color the rocks according to the image.
Since there are only three stones in the area, look for a Nightspirit Graffiti and place the scanned rock right in front of the painting, in the spot with a little stone on it. Afterward, color the stones using the Hued Monetoo to match the image. Doing the steps properly will open a hole in the ground.
To get the green color, pick up the blue and yellow Hued Monetoo back to back.
Puzzle #3
Go down the hole until another dead end, and players will see a bunch of paintings on the wall. Interact with the stone tablet ahead to start a mini-game where players must help the orange Monetoo by enabling wind currents.
After going through the adventures in the four paintings, players will earn a Luxurious Chest in Genshin Impact and the Every Picture Tells a Story achievement.
