In Genshin Impact, the continent of Teyvat is known for its abundant life and thrilling landscape. From various types of flowers, animals, and region-specific mobs & bosses, the land is full of rewards, hidden and open for Travelers to make use of. As the new region of Fontaine rolled out, players came face to face with a whole new environment and range of enemies to fight. Enemies in Genshin Impact not only provide Travelers with the necessary materials to further their advancement in the game, but they also occasionally include hidden rewards that not many players know of.
The game has over 1,000+ achievements to collect from, and players have the chance to test out their knowledge and skills in efficiently obtaining them. Most of Fontaine’s boss and mob achievements can be secured automatically when first fighting them. However, there are some achievements that need either more time or the right characters to execute properly.
How To Get The Cell, Splinter Achievement
When players first enter Fontaine, apart from the rich blue waters and soft green landscape, the region consists of a new enemy called the Breacher Primus. These enemies are part of an elite group that is created from the remains of Elynas and the power of the Abyss. These spherical enemies indeed pack a mighty punch, and the 'Cell, Splinter' hidden achievement can only be acquired with the help of the Hydro Traveler or a Fontaine character in the team lineup.
The Breacher Primus can be found in the above Fontainian location, and once players have equipped either the Hydro traveler, Lyney, or Lynette, can they head to the waypoint northeast of the Beryl Region. In addition to this location, players also have the option to locate the nearest Breacher Primus with the help of their Adventurer Handbook.
Once the battle starts, all players will need to do is wait for the Breacher Primus to activate its Geo shield. Once the shield comes up, players should immediately use the Hydro Travelers skill or Lynette’s skill to break the shield. The idea behind this achievement is to get the player to use Pneuma or Ousia attacks to break the Breacher Primus’s shield. As such, only Fontaine characters and the Hydro traveler possess such abilities.
How To Get The Too Hot To Handle Achievement
The Too Hot to Handle achievement is fairly easy to obtain, as players will not need region-specific characters to carry it out. Travelers simply need to equip a Cryo character that they are confident can hold enemies in a Frozen state for an ample amount of time. If players are unsure of which character would be best, using the skills or ultimate of characters such as Kaeya, Layla, Rosaria, Qiqi, Ayaka or Shenhe will keep enemies frozen for the amount of time needed to be rewarded the hidden achievement.
The enemies in question here pertain to the Tainted Hydro Phantasm, a group of elemental lifeforms that can be found in both Fontaine and Liyue.
The achievement can be obtained by continuously applying Cryo on the Hydro Phantasm, and once the enemy breaks free on its own, the achievement will be awarded to players.
Players will need to keep in mind that once the Tainted Hydro Phantasm goes into its enraged state, it will not be affected by Frozen, and thus the achievement will not be awarded.
How To Get The Funerary Storm Achievement
The Funerary Storm and Icebound Oath achievements come separately yet originate from the same boss. Unfortunately, they do not come easy and need more attention and patience to obtain. Travelers will first have to unlock the new Fontaine boss, Icewind Suite, near the Fountain of Lucine.
The first achievement (Funerary Storm) can be unlocked through the Dirge of Coppelia boss fight. Players will have to equip characters like the Hydro traveler, Lyney, or Lynette once more, as Coppelia will need to be hit with Pneuma attacks. At some point during the fight, Coppelia will move towards the middle of the stage and begin to spin. It is at this point where players will need to use either the Hydro traveler's skill or Lynette’s skill to interrupt Coppelia’s dance and obtain the achievement.
How To Get The Icebound Oath Achievement
When trying to obtain the Icebound Oath achievement, players will have to restart the boss fight with Coppelius instead of Coppelia. Equipping the same team as before, players can continue on with the Nemesis of Coppelius and enter the fight. It would be wise to also carry a strong shield character to dodge attacks during this fight, as Coppelius will eventually move toward the center of the stage to support Coppelia with her anemo slashes.
He will imbue himself with a Cryo shield as well, thus Ousia characters can only be effectively used here to break the shield and award players with the achievement. Using Lynette’s skill will come in handy here, as she can instantaneously break the shield, no matter which character level she is at, purely due to her Ousia ability.
How To Get The King Is Dead, Long Live The King Achievement
A majority of players have probably had their run-in with the Emperor of Fire and Iron, a mega-sized crustacean boss, when exploring the underwater world. As the father of the crabs that players see along the shores of Fontaine, this boss can pack a serious punch during a fight. The initial goal of this achievement is to destroy the crab’s shield mid-fight. This can be done with the help of any Hydro character as well as some strategic timing from the player.
At the beginning of the fight, the Emperor will have a Pyro meter above his head, which will need to be gradually reduced using Hydro attacks. Players can effectively lessen the pyrometer on the Emperor’s head by targeting its horns.
When the meter is almost depleted, players should take a step back and wait for the Emperor to burrow into the ground. It will then begin to release a pyro-infused circle around him, which will expand outwards. Before the circle reaches its maximum radius and the Emperor explodes, players will have to immediately attack the Emperor’s horns with Hydro once more to effectively break the shield. The achievement will then be awarded, and travelers can either continue on with the fight or quit.
All the following mob and boss hidden achievements award 5 primogems, bringing the total up to 25 hidden primogems that players can now collect on.
