According to recent leaks, Genshin Impact players prepare for the possibility of Nahida and Yae Miko featuring on the Version 4.4 banners instead of Ganyu and Shenhe. While the banner order for Genshin Impact characters is usually planned several updates in advance, HoYoverse has a reputation for changing its mind. Most notoriously, Eula was rumored to debut her second rerun much earlier than Version 3.8, and many players feel that Albedo is getting the Eula treatment in Fontaine.
All signs pointed towards Version 4.4 having Xiao, Xianyun, Ganyu, and Shenhe on the Event Banners, as not only is the Lantern Rite heavily focused on Liyue and its characters, but Ganyu and Shenhe are receiving new skins in the upcoming update as well. However, there are two key pieces of information that strongly imply HoYoverse has other plans in mind for Genshin Impact Version 4.4.
As revealed by hxg to the Genshin Impact Leaks community, Shenhe and Ganyu will be replaced by Nahida and Yae Miko in the second half of Version 4.4. The evidence that strongly backs up hxg's claim is twofold: HoYoverse seems to be doing an Archon marathon, where Zhongli, Venti, Furina, and Raiden all had banners in consecutive Versions; and the Spiral Abyss boss for Version 4.4 is slated to be the Setekh Wenut, which Yae Miko in Aggravate teams is particularly good against.
In addition to revealing Nahida and Yae Miko's rerun for Version 4.4, the leak also confirmed the 4-Star characters that would be accompanying Raiden and Yoimiya's banners. To no one's surprise, Kujou Sara will be one of the featured characters, as would Chevreuse, the new 4-Star Pyro Polearm who is designed with Overload teams in mind. However, the third 4-Star will allegedly be Xinyan, one of the clunkier characters to build in Genshin Impact.

While leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, it must be noted that Ayaka and Yoimiya similarly changed the banners for Genshin Impact's Version 4.3, when they replaced the reruns of Albedo and Itto, respectively. The new banner order will help players save up Primogems for Shenhe and Ganyu, as Xianyun will no doubt be a popular character to pull when Version 4.4 releases at the end of January 2024.
