The update will notably not feature any new areas or achievements, causing a marked decrease in the available Primogems during Version 5.4. Genshin Impact's newest update has already drawn ire from some fans for feeling like a "filler patch" with a marked decrease in new content. Many have criticized the low Primogem totals available during Version 5.4, with free-to-play players not receiving enough new Primogems to reach the "pity" mark on the gacha banners. Some fans have also pointed out that Version 5.4 will boast one of the lowest all-time Primogem counts for an update, with "filler patches" typically coming directly after major in-game events like Lantern Rite.
Genshin Impact's Version 5.4 is set to bring players back to Inazuma for its main content, both with its new character and main event. The new "Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival" will see players returning to the Japan-themed region, seeing the reappearance of fan-favorite characters like Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko. Genshin Impact's newest character is also expected to become more widely available soon, with Mizuki confirmed to be joining the game's standard rotation after Version 5.5. Inazuma fans should have plenty to look forward to in Genshin Impact's Version 5.4, despite a light patch for Primogems.
