Clearwater Jade earned its name thanks to its cool and refreshing touch that is similar to pure water in Genshin Impact. It’s a local specialty used to ascend certain characters like the well-known Cloud Retainer, aka Xianyun.
While exploring the mountains in Liyue, especially Chenyu Vale: Southern Mountain, you will notice that almost all the available Clearwater Jade can be found growing near a source of water. However, don't be fooled by its exterior as it's extremely hard, and extracting the local specialty with a Geo character is far easier in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact: How To Check The Clues Nearby (An Ancient Sacrifice of Sacred Brocade Quest)
It’s easy to get lost when Genshin Impact players have to check the clues nearby in Chenyu Vale’s primary quest.
Clearwater Jade Locations In Genshin Impact
There are more than 60 Clearwater Jades scattered around the western mountains in Liyue. Players will find some of the local specialties hidden in a cave underground or growing on the back of a turtle. Additionally, a couple of the Clearwater Jades are only obtainable after completing a small puzzle in Genshin Impact. To make the collecting process easier, you can add Qiqi or Yanfei to the party as both have the passive talent of marking Liyue's local specialty on the mini-map.
Exclamation marks in yellow are for the Clearwater Jades found underground.
As always, local specialties like Clearwater Jade in Genshin Impact respawn after 48 hours.
Clearwater Jade Locations - Mt. Xuanlian and Yaodie Valley
Starting from Mt. Xuanlian waypoint, head west to grab six Clearwater Jades. Continue northeast towards the river and pick up three items and then two to the north. You should be close to another waypoint at this point. Go north along the water and grab four local specialties and then head west towards a cave near Yaodie Valley to find three more underground.
Now, head to Mt. Xuanlian's western waypoint to immediately find one Clearwater Jade, then teleport again to the waypoint found north and glide east down the cliff to find four Jades in a small cave.
Clearwater Jade Locations - Chizhang Wall
From the waypoint found east of Chizhang Wall, head west towards the Solitary Suanni Boss in Genshin Impact then proceed north to get four Clearwater Jades, and then go west to grab two more items. Next, travel to the Statue of the Seven and run north towards the three local specialties. Fast travel to the northern Chizhang Wall waypoint and go southwest inside a cave to find two Jades.
There are three more Clearwater Jades in this area, but they are locked away behind a barrier in the mountains. To reach them, go to Waypoint northeast of Jademouth and glide west to the top of the broken ring to find a yellow ball puzzle in Genshin Impact. Interact with it to be ejected towards the barrier where it eventually unlocks and reveals three Clearwater Jades, along with a Luxurious Chest.
Clearwater Jade Locations - Teatree Slope
Fast travel to the Statue of the Seven northeast of the Teatree Slope and grab the nearby local specialty. Head south towards the beach to get seven more Jades; some of them are on top of turtles.
Teleport to the Teatree Slope waypoint and collect three Clearwater Jades southeast, then glide down north to grab two. Proceed southwest to see three more items.
Clearwater Jade Locations - Mt. Lingmeng
From Mt. Lingmeng's southern waypoint, go north/northwest towards the cave entrance to find two local specialties in Genshin Impact. Travel to the waypoint found north and head northwest for two items.
Finally, travel to the waypoint found east of the Yilong Wharf and go all the way north to the beach to see a stone slab. Read it and wait for Paimon to explain the steps, then climb the hill to throw some Raw Meat. After a while, a huge turtle appears with six Clearwater Jades on its back, rewarding you with an achievement in Genshin Impact named What About Sliced Meat Now? The final Jade in this area is found on a turtle’s back east of the previous location, next to a Luxurious Chest.
