The ongoing version 5.6 has introduced two new playable units: the Natlan veterinarian Ifa and the Fontaine chef Escoffier. Even though there was significantly more hype around Ifa compared to Escoffier during the Natlan storyline, many fans were disappointed to see that Ifa has a lower, four-star rarity. However, this didn’t affect his popularity too much, as he’s still regarded as one of the best-designed characters from the Pyro nation.

A talented Genshin Impact artist who goes by the Reddit name grandaloe has shared an impressive concept that swaps the designs of Genshin Impact's Ifa and Cacucu. Cacucu is Ifa’s Qucusaurus companion, who assists the veterinarian in the clinic and can even understand human speech. The human character in the concept art features Cacucu’s iconic pink color theme, combined with neutral white and dark brown tones. The human also has an eye patch just like Cacucu and wields a syringe-like sword, hinting at his connection to the clinic. The Ifa-themed saurian seen at the top of the image has the four-star’s recognizable white and green pattern. The bird-like creature also wears Ifa’s popular hat. The post gained significant attention in the Genshin Impact community, reaching over 13k upvotes on the game’s main subreddit.
Genshin Impact Artist Swaps Ifa With Cacucu
Many replies in the comments claim they wouldn’t mind if HoYoverse introduced this version of Ifa and Cacucu in the future. Reddit user grandaloe has become known in the subreddit for creating similar Genshin Impact projects that consistently receive a lot of attention. Fans have already started suggesting ideas for the next concept, with many hoping it will feature older characters like Razor.
Even though Cacucu was released as a side character only recently, the saurian quickly became a fan-favorite due to his tragic backstory. The official storyline confirmed that the Genshin Impact saurian was bullied by others due to his unusual appearance and poor condition before Ifa found him.
Travelers who want to add Ifa and Cacucu to their roster will have a few more days to do so, as the current limited banner is scheduled to expire around May 27.
