Diona is an essential character in Genshin Impact due to her unique ability to shield and heal simultaneously. Players can rely on the popular bartender of the Cat's Tail to support their team composition fully. Even without constellations, Diona is an excellent character who can handle most situations.
However, like other units in Genshin Impact, players may wonder if Diona's constellations would add more utility to her kit or flop hard, similar to Keqing's constellations.
Are Diona Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?
Yes, it is worth getting Diona’s constellations in Genshin Impact. Most of her constellations enhance the utility of her kit, especially Diona’s C6. With all her constellations unlocked, Diona becomes a viable option to include in many team compositions.
C1 - A Lingering Flavor
- Effect: Regenerates 15 Energy for Diona after the effects of Signature Mix end.
- Importance: Priority
Diona's Elemental Burst requires a significant amount of 80 energy to cast, so having a constellation that reduces its energy cost by 15 is a valuable addition to her kit.
C2 - Shaken, Not Purred
- Effect: Increases Icy Paws' DMG by 15%, and increases its shield's DMG Absorption by 15%. Additionally, when paws hit their targets, creates a shield for other nearby characters on the field with 50% of the Icy Paws shield's DMG Absorption for 5s.
- Importance: High
Although the increase in Diona's shield DMG absorption by 15% may not be a significant buff, it's still a decent addition that enhances her shield's ability to absorb damage. With C2, Diona can support the active character in her party by making them sturdier. Furthermore, this constellation also enables Diona to briefly shield all members of her party during co-op situations.
C4 - Wine Industry Slayer
- Effect: Within the radius of Signature Mix, Diona's charge time for aimed shots is reduced by 60%
- Importance: Negligible
Aiming Diona's bow is not necessary in Genshin Impact, and she is not typically built to deal damage with her charged attacks. As such, reducing the time it takes to charge her attack by 60% to infuse her arrow with Cryo has little to no use.
C6 - Cat's Tail Closing Time
- Effect: Characters within Signature Mix's radius will gain the following effects based on their HP amounts. Increases Incoming Healing Bonus by 30% when HP falls below or is equal to 50%. Elemental Mastery increased by 200 when HP is above 50%.
- Importance: Priority
Undoubtedly, Diona's sixth constellation is her best in Genshin Impact. With C6, Diona can buff the active character's Elemental Mastery by 200, making her an excellent addition to team compositions that rely heavily on Elemental reactions, such as Dendro reaction teams in Genshin Impact. Diona can easily cast this useful buff thanks to her C1, which allows her to cast her Burst more frequently.
